I think you have forgotten how districting works. With that particular district?

It's the inner city of Detroit close associated suburbs. It is the only district in the state in one county. It will never, ever possibly flip w/o the national parties realigning. It's been Democratic since before the riots. They depend on the media to do all their thinking for them.

The upper middle class suburbs of Detroit are a different districts (14 & 12.) They are democrat by only about 10 points, and went for Trump. Completely fed up with the corruption and would have probably voted for Sanders, they all just wanted a protest vote against the system.


The 13th? It's Democrat by nearly 40 points, and went for Hillary. Anything with a D after the name and they will vote how the TV tells them to vote.
