Gallop Poll: Obama By 9

sorry i don't mean to put words in your mouth and i don't meant to say that you disgust me...you came across as if you think that because some small extreme is actually racist, then the rest of us should just concede the presidency in order to prove to the rest of the world that we're not racist by voting for obama...sorry i just think that is bogus.

here's what you did say, to ninja, who as far as i could tell, had said nothing "extreme" (and is most likely hung over from his birthday celebration, but that's beside the point. )

You are the reason why Obama has already secured victory. When people notice that the only bashers of Obama are the extremist like yourself, they will sympathize with Barack and make him the new leader of the free world.

Barack Obama '08!!!

Did you expect anything else? I could say the sky is blue and you would ask for a link.

sure, whatever you say...that's the first time i've ever asked you for a link.

ironically, you were exaggerating and that was my whole point. you were the one smearing. you were the one being extreme.

Ninja is an extremist. Check out the posts he's making about Barack and tell me that lines up with the average McCain voter's views. I don't think they do. Barack isn't perfect. He's made mistakes, and he can be a little off of the middle at times, but this rarely gets called out. Instead, I get to watch Hannity tell me he thinks Obama could be a secret muslim. I see guys like William Joyce claiming Obama is a racist. Then there's guys like jreeves claiming Obama is a socialist.

These are the guys that are speaking up for the GOP right now. There are tons of them around the country. They are the extremists, and they are making the waves in the political discussions now-a-days. If true conservatives want McCain in office, they need to stop letting the extreme agenda driven talking heads from becoming the voice of their party.

i truly appreciate that your intention is to stand against racism and bigotry. just be careful not to find yourself on the wrong end of a different form of extremism...we are all in this together...as americans and as human beings...divisive extreme rhetoric doesn't do anybody any good, ever.

You were asking for links to what I considered to be obvious stuff. That's why I made the sarcastic post.

I don't feel like I was smearing anyone without justification. I acknowledge that Obama is being smeared by the far right, and if that is considered a poor move on my part, then I'm sorry.

yeah, asking for links...i was being sorta sarcastic, myself... :D

i haven't been here long enough to know where everyone is coming from, so i was just taking what was said in this thread at "face value" .

He represents something that will make America's image look better in the world ?

What kind of double speak is that? Exactly WHAT does he represent and WHAT will he DO to make all our little foreign friends happier?

In the same way a doctor must exude confidence and competence so must a presidential candidate look and act like a leader. Obama obviously just passed an important test

Wasn't Newsweek calling a 16 point lead just 3 or 4 weeks ago, while other polls had him only leading by 3 to 4 points?

The polls will go up and down, the only poll that matters is the one in November.

He's a blackman in the United States running for president. He's isn't going to win by 16st no matter what he does

how clever... :clap2:

face it! there are rational people, good people, smart people, americans all, who will choose not to vote for obama for legitimate reasons, having nothing to do with race or hatred, and to suggest otherwise is bogus...frankly, the fact that his campaign is using that angle disgusts me.

I am sorry you disgusted by the truth. I have even had a message sent to me on this board calling Obama "that ******." There is a lot of racism in America.

So you do understand the falliacy with polls then, huh? Since Newsweek poll did have him up by 16% points?
