A Gallup poll recently showed that 59% of business owners disapproved of the job Obama was doing. Only 35% of business owners approved.

That’s a 6% drop from the first quarter of this year, where 41% of business owners supported Obama. In even worse news for the president, this poll was taken before his comments on July 13, where he extolled how other people — and government assisted people with their lives, saying “…If you’ve got a business—you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” His approval ratings with business owners could decrease further once fallout from those comments are factored into polls.
Business Owners Turning On Obama | InvestorPlace

Over the last 4-1/2 years Obama has been threatening the 250K crowd aka small business in this country with a federal tax rate of 36%. When you add in state and local taxes it's not inconceivable that the most innovative--risk taking--hardest working people on this planet could be paying .50 cents on every dollar they earn. In return--small business in this country--(the largest employer in this nation) have tucked in like a turtle and are waiting for the threat to leave.

Confirmation of this comes--from a Democrat CEO:
"I'm saying it bluntly, that this administration is the greatest wet blanket to business, progress and job creation in my lifetime. A lot of people don't want to say that. They'll say, 'Oh God, don't be attacking Obama.' Well, this is Obama's deal, and it's Obama that's responsible for this fear in America."

"The guy [Obama] keeps making speeches about redistribution, and maybe 'we ought to do something to businesses that don't invest or hold too much money.' We haven't heard that kind of talk except from pure socialists."

"Business is being hammered. The business community in this country is frightened to death of the weird political philosophy of the president of the United States. Until he's gone, everybody's going to be sitting on their thumbs."

"If you don't have a record to run on--you paint your opponent as someone people need to run from"--Barack Obama

My question is knowing his a liberal democrat, what the hell were they thinking to support him in the first place. DUH!

Agreed--BUT you'll note that this poll was taken PRIOR his comment you didn't build this by yourself--someone else did.

So I guess we can say that the "chickens have come home to roost"--they just haven't all landed yet--:badgrin:

I imagine that Romney has received a HUGE influx of cash coming into his campaign while Barry has been receiving checks back with stop payment orders on them---:eusa_boohoo:

Please tell us one business that does it all by themselves. Obama did not say it, but it is actually correct. no business operates without the help of other businesses and the government. there is none, and if business owners think they did it all on their own they really had better take a look at all the other businesses they do business with because without them they would never have done it.

I can see why they would whine about taxes as everyone does about paying more, but in reality they had better plan on paying out money to someone because they do not do it on their own.

They Bought the Act when Obama Ran the First time. They hoped, Like I did, he really was a Fiscally Responsible Moderate Democrat, Because that is what he pretended to be.

This might have something to do with that....

Have you ever met a business owner? More often than not, they aren't the brightest people in the world.

Holy crap. And I got jumped on yesterday for saying the Left's opinion of business owners is pretty clear.

Thanks for that. Perfect.

I am a business owner. Perfect.

Excellent! So I'd be interested in your opinion of OohPooPahDoo's comment: Have you ever met a business owner? More often than not, they aren't the brightest people in the world.

Which, by the way, falls in perfectly with part of Obama's mockery of business owners: I thought I was smarter than everybody else.

I'm assuming you don't mind. Am I correct?

.

I thought his comment was odd and designed to get a reaction out of some. It seems to have worked.

Obama never mocked business owners, by the way. It is pretty sad that you are still trying to sell that.

"Odd". Okay, let's run with that. Two different comments in front of you, and all I get is an "odd", then you go after me.

I'm sure you would have felt the same way if those who said that had an (R) after their names.

Predictable, if a bit disappointing.

You asked, I answered. I suppose I should have been outraged by a comment that was clearly designed to instigate?

BTW.....your approach to the comment reeks of the dreaded "PC".

What is disappointing is your refusal to admit your error regarding your interpretation of Barack Obama's comments.

Holy crap is right. Obviously idiot has never owned, run, or participated in running a business.

Not surprised though. He's an idiot.
