G. Beck had an interesting point on his show.

"Unintelligible?" How so? You cannot get to Fascism or Totalitarianism without first adopting Socialist/Communist/Progressive ideologies. This is fact. The Nazis themselves were self-professed loyal Socialists. Stay away from Socialism/Communism/Progressivism and you will not have to worry about Police States and such. This is fact.

LOL. Continuing to say something is fact...just because you believe it to be self-evident or self-proving doesnt help you in the credibility column. Cite to something. Anything.

"Huh" clearly reveals that you truly don't think straight. Your statement is not "self evident" of anything other than that you believe it. Your proposition is not based on fact because you have not given facts. You certainly can't prove it without doing so. And if you are listening to Sean, Rush, or Glenn for your "evidence", you are being led down the garden path to certain destruction.

Huh again?? Fascism is Socialism. In fact all totalitarian regimes have their roots established in Socialism/Communism. This really is fact. Do your own research if you disagree with me. You cannot possibly get to a Police State or Totalitarianism without first adopting Socialist/Communist ideologies. It really is shocking that so few understand this.

Your statement is opinion not fact, lib. Until you understand that difference, you are only making the 'bar bar' sounds of ignorant barbarians, as the Greeks used to say.

Some give some evidence, man.

The Greeks supported Democracy and Freedom. Well the Athenian Greeks did anyway. Our Founding Fathers really did have it right all those years ago. They actually experienced totalitarianism & dictatorship,so they knew that wasn't the right course. Socialism/Communism always leads to totalitarianism or dictatorship in the end. Freedom from the Government is the key. Our Founding Fathers truly understood this. I'm still perplexed that so few get this.

your vomit about progressive precursors to fascism and riding on greek dick dont preclude alexander the great from being a fascist, buddy.

Alexander the Great was a Macedonian Greek. He was not Athenian. This is exactly what i mean when i talk about our failing Public Schools. Most indoctrinated Progressives can slap a condom on a cucumber in record time but can't even grasp the basics of Math,Science, and History. How sad.

Pericles was the leader of Greek Democracy. Funny story about that. I was listening to the local radio conservative talk show and they said "compromise is giving up your ideals. Democracy has nothing to do with compromise."

Huh??? Compromise is one of the pillars of Democracy. It's necessary so that slowly but surely we can move forward when people disagree about things. That's one of my problems with how the Republicans are doing things (dont read that as partisan rhetoric...there's plenty wrong with the dems)...

I've seen Obama and Baucus try to bring Republicans into the fold...only to get slapped down and yelled at...to the point of their being no wiggle room to compromise in. Cantor says "we're so far apart we'll never see things the same way"....uhm ok but when you have a fundamental difference about something...do you just give up and go home?

I guess when you have such an essential difference you HAVE to see who has the majority and can make their will known. And if that's what the dems have to do now that the Republicans wont budge...dont blame them for it.

This kind of gets away from the OP's point...but if LibApoc wont understand that Fascism requires a class system whereas socalism (the main evil terrible version, not the happy hybrid version) is about equality...there's not much room for us.

Socialism =/= Fascism.

Being equally poor does not = Prosperity. Socialism/Communism never = "Sharing the Wealth." In the end it always = Sharing the Poverty. It just doesn't work.

LMAO...you write well...but you seem to be missing certin information.

The basic cponmservative principal is to not COMPROMISE your convictions....never was it to not compromise.

I really suggest you take such a strong writing talent and apply it to honest well thought out ideas....otherwise you are not only wasting a talent....but embarrassing yourself as well.

so he was a progressive socialist, too, einstein?

Hey....you need to realize something...

Obama made a commitment to strengthen the middle class. Well, what better way to do it than to make the upper class middle class as you make the lower class middle class as well.

He is being true to his word....just a bit dishonest about how he planned to acheive it.

Alexander the Great certainly didn't stand for Freedom & Democracy. I don't think it takes a genius to figure that out. Was he a Socialist/Fascist/Progressive? Not in the sense we understand those terms to mean today. He was a Macedonian Greek King. I'll let people decide for themselves what other labels they want to attach to him.

could you bridge your paranoia to reality by proposing how all this class shifting is being facilitated by obama. i dont see that as being a goal of his, nor can i see him trying to do anything to the middle class, but make them pay for medical care if they already dont. +1 for the upper class at the expense of the middle isnt it?

I'm not missing anything. And you're smarter than the guy I heard on the radio. There seems to be a problem with some people equating ANY compromise (big or small) to a COMPLETE compromise.

It's ok and even necessary to compromise often. some people dont get that.

otherwise... the republicans and democrats always knew exactly how the debate over healthcare would go down. archetypical american politics really. a minority like the republicans HAS to whip against the democrats and as loudly as possible. they cant swing voters in their favor in fall if they were the opposition's backpack. they can if they are the pain in their back.

the dems knew they had the election early and began to put out there how they were going to extend a hand of compromise.. in politics, this is an extension of lipservice to establish the 'well we tried' position. witness iran and the same hand, or copenhagen and the same hand. notwithstanding extending it, there was never an intention to change policy as the stronger party with the power vote.
having said 'we tried', youre free to leave copenhagen and never talk about that hoax again, whip a stick out at iran, and reconcile your legislation into place. id say if there's a flaw in obama's playing the healthcare thing, its congress dragging their feet.

It's ok and even necessary to compromise often. some people dont get that.

But again, one can compromise...but should never compromise convictions...and sometimes, to compromise would mean having to compromise convictions so a compromise can not be made.

Example....healthcare.

Some feel that the President is offering a compromise by inserting some GOP ideas into an already existing plan.

BUt that is not a compromise that the GOP can make as the crux of the existing bill has a large governemnt intervention into healthcare...which is against the "supposed" principles of the GOP (I say supposed as yes, many have srayed from it...but now the writing is on the wall and they want to get back to thier convictions....like it or not).

SO in theory, if the GOP voted for the bill becuase of the "compromise" of Obama, they would be voting for something that is against their convictions.

I trust you see my point.
