Wall Street banks were among the very worst offenders of discriminating against blacks when it came to hiring for elite positions. That fact was one of the first red flags raised by early critics of Obamamania.
Now it's clear why these rich, white racists rushed to anoint our "First Black President" and it had nothing to do with Hope or Change.
It's not only black voters who can't see past the color of Obama's skin. There are numerous Hispanics and whites where I work that have the same indifference to the walk this president displays.
If anything brings Obama down it may well be his Wall Street "friends." I'm trying to get those who support him to state in advance how they'll respond on a couple of upcoming tests.
If he doesn't nominate Elizabeth Warren for head of the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau, it should prove to anyone paying attention he's all talk when it comes to financial reform.
If he resorts to an October Surprise before the midterms that involves an attack on Iran, by the US and/or Israel, that should make clear he's just another hypocrite willing to kill other people's children for votes and market share.
There's also a second Freedom Flotilla setting sail this fall with ships from around the world heading for Gaza. One is likely to be American flagged and possibly named "The Audacity of Hope." If Israel commits another Memorial Day Massacre like that which occurred on the Mavi Marmara last May 31st, Obama should face impeachment if he doesn't expel the Israeli ambassador and close US airspace to all Israeli aircraft.
His ratings are slipping, and he's beginning to remind some of a coward.
If anything ends his reign early, it will probably be his perceived lack of spine.
