[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5OMlOPgrBk]YouTube - Obama talking to Joe the Plumber - Full Context[/ame]

to take one line out of a more than 3 minute conversation where Obama explains more of what he means is assinine!

According to Reagan, Trickle Down is spreading the wealth.

The term does not refer to socialism. Nice soundbite, but bullshit.

Spreading the wealth is also spreading the opportunity for gaining wealth. This means beyond the upper 1% but to the whole middle class.

I am always amazed by how many in a middle class income have bought into the trickle down theory.

Me, too. I wonder how many really believe it now?

Our father's and grandfathers' generations certainly knew what complete bullshit that theory was.

Reagan's own budget director admitted that the Reagan "tax cut" was just a "trojan horse" to lower taxes for the rich.

The bottom 90% of the people of America control 4% of the wealth.

Think about that when you are going to work tomorrow.

And in the full context he is talking out of his ass... flat tax would require a 40% tax rate?... and he is still a proponent of inequality... a proponent of higher tax rates for those who earn more.. tax "breaks" in the forms of 'kick backs' to ones who do not even pay taxes....

a pile of shit by any other name would still smell as bad

But that's how America works. Love it or leave it bitch.

No... it is how extremist leftists like you want it to work... this country's government was never set up to be a welfare state, a redistribution center, a governmental robin hood, or to treat citizens in the spirit of inequality and without liberty to make it (or not) on their own merits and efforts

And I.. as an American that has served his country... will continue to work for and vote for ones who are more apt to return to those values, than to move more towards marxist values of the extreme left entitlement junkies

Surprisingly enough, it works. A guy I do business with is voting for McCain because he thinks his taxes will go up. He doesn't make anywhere near $250,000 in income...

smart guy! really really smart guy!

Thanks for posting this. People are being convinced to vote outside their own tax bracket.

There's not a problem with it, either. The 1 or 2% tax cut I get will do me no good when the rich will just push their 11% increases off on us. Besides that, as far as equality goes, I don't see why the rich should have to pay that much more in taxes just becaues they can, nor do I see why the poor should get back so much in tax cuts just because they're poor. If he wants to redistribute the wealth, it should be redistributed equally, at least.

Dave, I am glad you know what our Country’s government was set up to be as not even our founding fathers were sure, that’s why they incorporated the amendment process. The founding fathers had the wisdom to know that, over time, the needs of democracy would change as new demands were made on government.

I always laugh when people state that “our country was founded on (your point here)” because the only things I am sure our country was founded on were life, liberty the pursuit of happiness and a governmental structure that could change with the will of the people.

Oh, and Dave, the “extreme left Marxists” don’t need “entitlements” because their point of view is that private property doesn’t exist. Kind of the Flexcar approach to the economy, which (I absolutely do not agree with).

BTW I am a happy capitalist who feels patriotic enough to assist his fellow Americans who are down on their luck.

Soak the rich. They are the worst people in America.

I have a job where I have to deal with all classes of American society, and the rich are BY FAR the worst people out there.

The middle class are the best, most moral, most considerate people of all.

Bush should have distributed the wealth equally. Obama's plan is simply putting the tax scheme back to where it was before Bush stole the Florida election.

In fact, not only should we roll back the Bush tax cuts, we should also roll back the Reagan tax cuts.

Maybe you'll read this and realize what a house slave you are.

ThomHartmann.com - Roll Back the Reagan Tax Cuts

Why you can't understand that a guy making $40k needs the tax break and not the guy making $250k is beyond my comprehension.

Or read this. They're lying to you! Wake up!!!

THE 1992 CAMPAIGN: The Republicans; Bush Says Clinton's Plan to Tax the Rich Will Be Costly for the Middle Class

Striving to win back disgruntled middle-class voters, President Bush said today that Gov. Bill Clinton's economic proposals would hurt the middle-class taxpayers that the Democratic challenger has pledged to help.

White House officials produced new economic estimates that they said demonstrate that Mr. Clinton's plan to raise the taxes of the top 2 percent of the nation's earners would actually cost a couple with a gross income of $85,000 about $2,800 a year in higher taxes.

"That is the big secret of this campaign," Mr. Bush said, standing on the bunting-draped rear platform of a train that stopped in four Ohio towns today. "To capture all the revenue that he wants to raise, to pay for all these promises, Bill Clinton will have to go after the middle class. I am not going to let him do that, and neither are you."

I mean, he's right. How dare Bill Gates give up half his fortune to charities, or what a selfish bitch Oprah is with giving away cars and stuff.

You don't realize the rich don't give a fuck about you. You make the same as you did in 1999 and the rich caused inflation with their radical agendas.

So why should Chris give a fuck about them? He's not looking to make them poor, but they sure do seem to be trying to make us poor.

About Republicans for Obama | Republicans for Obama

The only people who are still voting McCain are the super rich, super racist or super stubborn/stupid/ignorant.

Just speaking from my experience.

The rich people I have dealt with are the greediest and the meanest folks of all. The middle class people come across as being much, much nicer and more considerate.
