Frigid record shattering cold to hit US this week!!

It has already warmed up and is raining on the couple of inches of snow, and 1/4 inch of ice. Supposed to be 38 degrees tonight and raining. Raining right now. Long range forecast, faint possibility of a white Christmas. That has not happened in years. Right now, 33 degree. Should we get an east wind out of the gorge, the temperatures could go below freezing again. Not in the forecast.

Heres the thing.......before ten years ago, most people never heard of global warming. So they hear all the bomb throwing predictions for years after that never materialize. They see winter comes and it getting even colder and seeing bitterly cold start in October and run right though May.....and in the back of their head, they are saying, "WTF?!!". They are not sitting home researching the latest from the Royal Society.........they are running inside to sit in front of the fire and find the ball warmers. This is exactly why the public has no interest in climate change in 2016.......they are seeing the same climate shit they've been seeing their whole life AND they, in many parts of the country, are seeing longer and colder winters.....and had been expecting by now they'd be walking around in t-shirts in winter by now.

There is a gross misunderstanding of basic human behavior amongst those who are deeply obsessed with climate change. Human behavior is shaped by the environment people live in and the reinforcement and punishment dynamics within that environment. The fact is, nobody is going to ever give a shit about global warming until that environment changes significantly enough for the public to notice. That's the way it is..........the bozo's can croon about 0.7 degree's from now until the cows come home. It will move only a fraction of the population. When the folks start seeing waterskiing on Lake Michigan in mid-January for 3 weeks with bikinnis and boobs everywhere, people will care. Not a moment before.

It is called the jet stream dipping south: A TROUGH!. The cold air that builds up in the arctic floods south with this, which means that the air temperature that were above normal for the arctic(lets say -25f) is now way below normal for its new position further south as the avg high in the plains or midwest are much warmer than the avg high in the arctic. Am I still the dumbest person on this board for explaining this for you? jeezzz.

You do realize that the two major ice sheets during the last glacial cycle, that were over two miles thick, centered in Northern Canada.. Don't you?

You also realize that orbital eccentricity during the last glacial cycle shifted polar north into what is now northern Canada.. Right?

SO the shift is not unusual but heralds the beginning of the next potential glacial cycle.

Why do you alarmists fail to do any homework on these claims of gloom and doom? The shift is very concerning to those of us that understand the next glacial cycle will result in a potential 60% reduction in human survival globally.
