Peanut butter works best, according to the guys that do it for a living. But mice are a pest and need to be killed, not turned loose so they can invade your neighbor's property.

I wonder how long until the mouse would chew its way out.

What is needed are some electric strips that put an end to the unsanitary animal.

Keep in mind mice won't eat cheese.

Don't use cheese as bait. Try Cheerios or Kix cereal.

Yeah, or nut butter.

Crude as they are, Free-weasel are right -- unless you're gonna take each mouse for a ride out to the nearest desert, they'll just return, and they have more friends and family than you can count. Better to get a cat and just let it patrol. Once the word gets out that there be predators here, the residence doesn't look so good.

We have a lot of cats in the neighborhood - it does help.....

I actually use the old fashioned kind, EXCEPT, mine has a "hood" on it so I don't have to see anything but it's tail... poor babies :(

We may get one or two a year tops.

-------------------- pretty cool , now you can shake him out and finish the job by feeding him to your snake or just stepping on him .

Riiiiight, because when you dump a mouse on the floor the first thing he does is freeze in place so you can stomp him.
------------------------------- you gotta be smarter than the mouse Pogo .
