I have a question to pose for anyone that might be interested in the preservation of this country as set forth by our fore fathers. Why does our king and so called representatives take an oath to preserve and protect our constitution and freedoms ? Seems the first thing they want to do is pass laws restricting and taking those freedoms away and of course the hot topic is the second amendment that STATES straight up, that it may NOT be infringed upon. To me this amendment is the one with very plain easy to understand language. I am sorry for the mindless acts that are perpetrated, but unfortunately the genie was let out of the bag along time ago. Like atomic weapons they will never be erased. Do not punish me for someone elses indiscretions. This country was founded to ensure freedom please quit trying to take it away. Russia said they would take this country without ever firing a shot, how much more socialism are we to tolerate.

Liberty, pretty much goes hand in hand with Personal Responsibility. Cause and Effect. That said, Federal Authority and Jurisdiction, by Design, was to be added upon by the consent of the governed, through the process of Constitutional Amendment. That is the equivalent to 3/4 of the States, or Congress supporting the change. Considering Judicial Review, we need to distinguish between the Court connecting dots that are there, in their Service of Office, and Imagining, or fabricating dots to serve their own end, which questions their service to office. One only needs to question Hamilton's depiction of the Supreme Court being the weakest of the 3 Branches, Pre Constitution, as opposed to the Strongest, Most Equal, Final Word, Post Constitution. ;) Further, Hamilton's Freight Training the concept of Enumerated Powers, by the General Health and Welfare Clause (Santa Claus) Unlimited Resource for Power and Authority of the Federal Government. I would not want to play poker with that man. He sort of reminds me of Barnaby from "March Of The Wooden Soldiers. Statist Progressives represented by Boogy-Men. :D

Here comes the Tea Party.

I am going to address this point in another post but absolute freedom does not exist, you cannot fly for instance, nor can you drive 100 mph through the city, nor can you.... http://www.usmessageboard.com/philosophy/265505-freedom.html

"A crude example makes the point: I might like to rob banks, but I am unwilling to allow other citizens to do so. So most of us, acting together, pass laws that infringe on the individual's freedom to rob banks. For an example closer to home, think of what is happening to the freedom to make withdrawals from the oceanic bank of fishes. In 1625, the Dutch scholar Hugo Grotius said, “The extent of the ocean is in fact so great that it suffices for any possible use on the part of all peoples for drawing water, for fishing, for sailing.” Now the once unlimited resources of marine fishes have become scarce and nations are coming to limit the freedom of their fishers in the commons. From here onward, complete freedom leads to tragedy. (And still the shibboleth, “the freedom of the seas,” interferes with rational judgment.)"

Extensions of "The Tragedy of the Commons"

The Tragedy of the Commons

Would like to respond toi the gentlman that was dodging the question of why does our so called king and representitives take an oath to preserve and protect the constiution and freedoms then turn around and do the opposite. Of course we cannot have 100% freedom common sense will tell you this is the same as anarcihy. Unfortunatly police are a neccesary evil, and for those who do not know there job is to restrict and take away our freedom as some suit decides. They serve and protect the government, another example of lost freedom is the fact that if you drive you have given probable cause to be stopped and questioned about your papers i.,e. drivers license, registration. when I grew up they where not allowed to harase people without probable cause. As we where taught in public school (government propaganda) communisium, socilaism was the scum of the earth, Better dead than red. SO AGAIN WHY DO WE ALLOW OUR REPS. TO WHITTLE AWAY OUR FREEDOM? Supposed to be BY THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE.SO TO ALL YOU PROSPECTIVE CRIMINALS
DO NOT BE LAZY OR AFRAID WRITE THESE PEOPLE

We do not have a "so called king". Let me counter your question with my own. Why do people who keep talking about the Constitution never bother to read it?

I sorry you think I have not read the constitution. So here is another question. These so called firearm buy backs, with no questions asked. How many of the weapons where stolen just to turn them in? Looks like the gun owners have been made a target.

Yes. I'm sorry you haven't read the Constitution as well. You should try doing it sometime.

Yea I'm a dumb ass all I know is what I was taught in school. Its a shame you trust the propaganda shoved down your throat. Better dead than red.

School should have just taught you how to think. Not what to think. Now give it a shot. Try thinking. If you want to know what the Constitution says, then read it. Don't just accept what people tell you. Actually read it.

I do think and so I am told that I have an authority problem. Ask the two judges that have told me they don't care what is right and wrong, it's not there job to check the unjust laws they interprete them or they might not be reelected. What do you think of a free country that the laws are supposed to protect OUR individual freedom over so called society, a country where 7 year old children are suspened from school for playing war or cowboys and indians. Makes you feel proud?

So you're not going to read the Constitution.

Am I proud of my county? Damn straight. If you're not, you are free to leave. No one is holding a gun to your head. Go find a country you can be proud of.

As to the two judges. I would suggest that the first time maybe, just maybe, you have an argument. The second time, perhaps you should consider the problem might be you.

BTW. If you do ever get around to reading the Constitution, I think you will find the courts (those judges) are there to interpret and enforce the laws created by the various legislatures. They don't create the laws.

No sir they do not create them they are supposed to check them, throw out the unjust. Yes I am proud of my country, just not the care takers and the people who set back and let them do as they please. By the way God gave me the ability to think just like everyone else, most people choose not to(think just incase you can't follow the train of thought), its easier to let someone else do it. Individual freedom is a myth. As far as moving to another country at least they don't lie to you and tell you that you are free. If you think that you are free don't pay your protection money(taxes if you don't undrstand) an see who kicks your door in and relieves you of your home or anything else you have worked for. (if you work)

The gun they hold to your head is known as economic terroism. Yes I have a choice do what I am TOLD FOR MY OWN GOOD, or lose what you have worked for go to prison and of course die. I do not believe this is what our fore fathers had in mind, correct me if I am wrong but we exist as a nation because our father nation got to far out of line. I guess we just went from one ruler to the next, MASTER

Lighten up, Francis. Why is it that every one of you right wing morons classifies everything you don't like about the Obama administraction as "tyranny" or "facisim" or "socialistic" or whatever other crap-ass adjective is du jour?

You do see that you totally lose credibility by this kind of nutiness? Of course, it is none of the above. Don't overstate your case.

There are lots of things many folks don't like about the laws, rules and regulations that govern our daily lives. I don't like red lights at intersections at two in the morning when there isn't another car in sight for twenty miles. I don't consider it to be an example of "tyranny."

It never used to be this way, which is one of the main reasons the Republican Party is losing popularity at an astounding rate these days.
