Freedom is a beautiful thing and I was reminded of that once again today when I did a Chinese women a favor ( literally she is from China) and it was for her Doctorate studies. I replied to a topic in a blog for her. But I also criticized the government by saying that the nanny state has done a million times harm than good to the people. She having lived in China for 26 years up until the last 6 months thought that I could go to jail for such a comment. Wow and she still believes it is terrible after I assured her. You see this is what I want to avoid here in the US!! We must exercise our liberties or we will lose them.

Freedom never existed in the History of mankind, cave-dwellers and non.

Continue this thought for us Mr. Marx.

Aren't you like, the third dumbest dude on this site in its entirety?

Anyway, every action from chewing to walking to your mailbox has a subsequent consequence.

Any and all laws are the antithesis of freedom, and also a lawless society is the antithesis of freedom. Freedom can't exist, so long as we are to co-exist.

Nanny state is a kind of paternal government that says it will care for you and you being care for give up all your freedom to the caretaker. Its like living with your parents. No matter how much freedom they may give to you the fact that they pay for everything gives them control over you. Human nature doesn't change whether that is growing up with your parents or being a citizen of a state. Need produces dependency which leads to willfully giving up your freedom.

Way to break it down to it's most pure, philosophical form!

Ain't you the first dumbest dude?

Wait. Did you just say that laws are the anithesis of freedom and lawlessness (a state of no laws) is the antithesis of freedom?

I try not to let my mind be formed by societal tradition and taboo, but think outside the box which helps just a little bit in becoming less controlled.

Do you need that broken down for you, or can you handle thinking about what it means on your own? I mean, I'll explain it in lamen's terms if you need me to.

True freedom can only be attained if you have no interaction with another human.

In terms of Humanity, for sure. But true freedom in its purest form simply cannot exist in Nature.

Or if you swing the meanest club around.

Everyone will never have full freedom.

If you swing the most bad assed club around, and no human can control a single thing you do, you're still not "literally" free. Nature binds us to automatic laws of existence.

Yes. Please explain how laws, things that restrict freedom, creates more of it?

I define freedom as the ability to act without consequence. Others define it differently, it's a Cultural thing.

Freedom & Liberty trumps all. In the end Socialism/Communism promotes the erosion of peoples' Freedoms & Liberties. Just look at what the Socialists have done in a country like Great Britain for example. Their Socialists like to boast about their supposed fantastic Health Care but what did it cost their people in terms of Freedom & Liberty? Great Britain continues to drop lower & lower on the list of nations experiencing true Freedom. They have become a Police State at this point. Their people are openly spied on 24/7. They have now even created a Global Warming Gestapo which goes through citizens' garbage to make sure they're throwing their garbage away properly. Violations result in fines or imprisonment. A Garbage Gestapo? Yikes. Socialism/Communism is a very dangerous gamble at best. Freedom & Liberty really should trump all.
