What about Mara Liasson? | Media Matters for America

What about Mara Liasson?
October 21, 2010 10:31 am ET by Eric Boehlert

News that Juan Williams' contract with NPR was terminated over comments he made about Muslims while appearing on Fox News shines a spotlight on the radio network's evergreen controversy: Its continued affiliation with Fox News. Specifically, NPR's Mara Liasson and her long-running association with Fox News has often raised questions. This might be the proper time for NPR to finally address that thorny issue.

I'm not suggesting Liasson has said anything as offensive as Williams, or that she has that kind of track record while appearing on Fox. I'm just saying that if you look at NPR's code of ethics, there's simply no way Liasson should be making appearances on Fox. ...

Funny that FOX, that evil, rightist tool isn't demanding that NPR put on conservatives or forbid any of their people from appearing on NPR.

Nope, public funding for NPR/PBS must stop.

I watched Juan's "Talking Points" segment when he subbed for O'Reilly last night. It's quite fascinating to see a Liberal finally understand the Totalitarian Streak of the Far Left.

Where's The Tolerance?
Where's The Acceptance?
Where's The Celebration of Diversity?

The real agenda is to get at Fox by attacking those who stray off the reservation - which actually further legitimizes Fox as being Fair & Balanced as liberals find a home there.

Juan Williams is the last of the true Liberals in the Democratic Party. They have now been replaced with screeching lunatic fringe Socialists/Progressives. NPR is a joke. Nuff said.

I love NPR. BUT.. clearly they don’t want to bother with ALL THINGS CONSIDERED. With sponsors like the gay and lesbian fund, Pew Hispanic charitable trust, they have an politically correct agenda and carefully tow the line. They don't fare much better than FOX in the tolerance department, in my humble opinion.

It was like a "Sunday Come to Jesus Meeting" wasn't it? :eusa_pray:
