Free College Education vs Spam

Everything is free. What is the oil or coal underground? FREE. What is the grass cows or deer out in the field? FREE. What were the trees in the old growth forests that lumber companies cut down in the 18th century? FREE. What are the fish that fishermen catch out to sea? FREE. What is sunlight and the air you breathe? FREE. What is the love of a parent for a child? FREE. Etc. etc. etc. When you are talking about paying, for the most part, you are just talking about BS capitalist concepts.
"Let Them Eat Student Loans," Smirked Marie Antoinette. Then She Laughed Her Head Off.

Capitalism and socialism are not the dominating systems, so don't be misled and ignore the true crime against humanity. We live in an aristocracy, which must be abolished. No one over 18 has the right to a dime from his Daddy; that's for children. If we have to do it on our own, so must they. Or else suffer the consequences.

College is unpaid work only to give an overwhelming advantage to the spoiled-rotten HeirHeads who live off a fat allowance and also (which is less relevant!) have their Daddies pay their tuition. It is an obsolete aristocratic institution and doesn't belong in a democracy.

Capitalism is the main crime against humanity. Next, we live in a plutocracy. Not under an aristocracy. Though there are indeed many aristocratic elements to it.
If You've Heard of Someone, Don't Listen to Him

There's no way to justify the privilege of inheritance, or even of some richkid with no special talent and no right to be in college living off an allowance there with paid-up tuition. You're listening to the captive media too much if you believe birth privileges don't dominate this society and cause its decadence. Heirs make up twenty times what they logically should be in the 1%; that lopsided statistic discredits all other ways of getting there, including capitalist success. The truth is in something you never hear about; the ones we are supposed to look up to for it are all in it together. They are Heralds for HeirHeads.

Kill the greedy kulaks, eh comrade?
Patrician Welfare Queens

No, just take away what they inherited and didn't earn. And another proof that you are so controlled is that Marx was a guillotine-fodder richkid himself and hid the true aristocratic intentions of his writings. He married a Patty Hearst type duchess.

No, just take away what they inherited and didn't earn.

Why? Do what with it?

Free college means free college.

And a small percentage of top students means a small percentage of top students.

Take Finland for example. They have among the most highly educated students in the world.

Yes, a tiny nation with almost no minorities works just like the US. DERP!

I bet if I wrote a thread and stated the FACT that the main problem with the U.S. is that we live in a multi-ethnic society, you would give me nothing but shit. Even worse if I said that all negroes need to be deported or at least be given a state sized portion of the south east U.S. as their own homeland and send them all there.

That would be as stupid as everything else you've posted here.

... Do you think you are a better philosopher than Aristotle?

Better than you. Aristotle never said that.

I never read the works of Aristotle. Did you? ....

Yes

No doubt there will be those who would say that my promotion of free college education is "spam." Such things have happened to me before.
Fatcats Love Mice

That's how the rulers box us in, by limiting the debate to tuition when college is really about working without pay. If college students aren't paid a salary, they are amateurs and not worth anything. There's no reason to respect a brownnosing job-thief who had no respect for himself and was only in college because he was afraid to grow up. His personal growth was no better than some slacker who lives in his parents' basement until he is 22.

You are saying a lot of nothing.
Why Grads Can't Cope With Adulthood

Just because no brainwashed American says it? Free tuition still means living like a 16-year-old because you're afraid to grow up. It's a duplicate of and an overextension of the immature high-school lifestyle. Getting a job just because you can go four or more years without a job is a lot of nothing, but nothing is said about its Big Lie absurdity.

Reeking of ignorance....^^^^^^

How about no, douche? Who the fuck are you to say what people do with their wealth?

Those things are besides the point.

Your point was, they provide their services free of charge.
Your point was wrong. Glad you admitted your error.

But when the firemen showed up at my sisters house fire, she didn't have to pay the firemen. And my postman never asks me for money

Because the cost of their services were provided by the taxpayer and the stamp buyer, not the homeowner with the fire or the letter recipient. Not free.
Mooching off the Talented Slaveboys

The point is that it's not a selfish arrangement between the individual who gets the service and the one who does the service. The relevance to the thread is that Big Business and the public should pay the universities, not the individual students.

First, there is selfishness on both ends. And I of course agree that if having college educated people is a benefit to society, it is society that should provide it.

If a college education is a benefit to you, you should pay for it.
We Created Everything That Prevents You Living Like Animals, So That's What You Are

If so, then you should make sure that no one else benefits from it. You've been suckered into believing that it's something like majoring in Casino Gambling, which only the graduate would benefit from. But High IQs create all the world's wealth and let the rich and the general society freeload off them. That will stop soon. overland is a sign that people are slowly breaking away from the parasites who mooch off other people's mental talent. But like hackers, he's only refusing to submit but not out to bankrupt the parasites who mandate this unpaid education.

Is that you speaking, or are you quoting someone?

If so, then you should make sure that no one else benefits from it.

Why?

You've been suckered into believing that it's something like majoring in Casino Gambling, which only the graduate would benefit from.

I don't believe that.

But High IQs create all the world's wealth and let the rich and the general society freeload off them. That will stop soon.

Why do you feel that?

overland[/USER] is a sign that people are slowly breaking away

Overland is a moron. And a whiner.

And, apparently, a sock.

No, we don't. How can someone be this stupid?

My sisters house caught in fire. The firefighters didn't charge her anything to put out the fire. And I get mail delivered all the time. I have never been required to give the postman one penny. To that extent, those things are free! True or false.

Of course not. You are charged tons of money to provide those services.

You are wrong. My sister didn't have to pay the firemen anything and I never have had to give a penny to a postman. Now if you want to talk about who pays them, that is a different story. Also, I am glad to pay for firefighters and postmen. Just as I am glad to pay for police or students being able to pay nothing to go to high school. The same should be the case for college education and health care. Everything will find its equilibrium. An "equilibrium" with free college and health care id FAR better than one without.

My sister didn't have to pay the firemen anything

Doesn't your sister pay property taxes?

and I never have had to give a penny to a postman.

You never buy stamps?

Those things are besides the point. Yes my sister paid taxes and I paid for stamps. But when the firemen showed up at my sisters house fire, she didn't have to pay the firemen. And my postman never asks me for money.

LOL....

leftard "These things are free!"

"so you didn't have to pay anything for them, like massive taxes?"

leftard "Yes I paid taxes, but I didn't have to pay when they showed up, so I got them for free!"

By that logic, health care is already free then. When I go to the hospital, they treat me for free. Yeah, I get a bill later, but when I showed up I didn't have to pay!..... so it's free according to Leftard here.

Cherish the Seeds to a Bumper Crop

You're being misdirected by this idea that it's not free if someone else pays for it. Also, free tuition is not enough anyway; it's like having to stand in line for 20 hours to get something for free--the cost of not being able to work during that time makes it not worth it. In fact, society's refusal to pay students costs it many times what rewarding talent upfront would cost.

With sports talent, which American society does reward, why not get rid of athletic scholarships if you want to be consistent with your ingratitude towards mental talent? Or even only reward with free tuition and force the athlete to live miserably on low-wage part-time jobs. Few high-school stars would play in college if all they got offered was free tuition. Instead they get expensive housing, expensive food, expensive entertainment, high-paying do-nothing offseason jobs given by jocksniffing pedophile alumni--the equivalent of $600 week plus free tuition.

Abolish the universities and, as a substitute for paying taxes, let the corporations recruit the smartest high-school talent and pay them and their tutors to learn the skills needed. Any country that pays for grades will lead this century's world economy.

Making college free for stupid degrees is a bad idea.
It'll just waste money, won't make things better.

No doubt there will be those who would say that my promotion of free college education is "spam." Such things have happened to me before. But the point is that college education should be free! In fact, we should actually PAY students to go to college. If having people who are college educated is good for society in general, then it is something worth the government subsidizing. After all, they do it in places like France and Germany. So why not here.

College in France is not free. College in Germany is free, but the German culture is not like the American every man for himself problem.

American colleges teach what high schools teach in Germany. So how much money do you want to spend on your second high school? The current average $100k? That can buy you a house instead. And if you can't pay your mortgage, it is only foreclosed on you, unlike if you can't pay your student loans you are enslaved for life, no bankruptcy.

Anyways, all skilled jobs are now in low exchange rate countries with cheap currencies and so cheap labor. America is not one of them. Do you really need a university degree to start hassling for some business?
Atlas Is a Parasite, But What Would Happen If Prometheus Shrugged?

There is a way to go through the college-student experience without going to college, but profiting from it more. I especially recommend this to STEM talent, in order to deprive an insulting and ungrateful society from freeloading off their sacrifice. Science is for suckers. From childhood on, A students should prepare to own their own business and only study what is necessary for that, most of which comes from what they do outside of school.

A high-school graduate could work a full-time job, put his whole pay in the bank, and live off a part-time job. At age 22, he'll have enough money to start his own business and no student debt. He can go into one of the businesses he was hired at to become a mere employee and looked down upon as a loser too lazy to go to college.

I like your sarcastic tone. Hehehe. I agree that what is worse than college pushers pushing student debt on every high schooler and parent, is, that the parents themselves do the pushing full steam to begin with, even before the smart guys push it. This way you learn that you are not even human if you did work in what you would be good at even as an independent business. For example, I would have been excellent as a driver, but my parents say that then I am a ... so now I am a maths student, which I can still do well but I like a LOT less.

Here's the real kicker..... let us pretend that tomorrow all the student loans, and all loans, and all student aide, and all subsidies were eliminated.

Now what would the ramifications for that be?

In the extreme short term, millions of students would drop out of college.

However......... what would happen after that?

Well the colleges and universities would be faced with so low of enrollment, that they would be on the verge of closing.

What would they do?

Supply and demand = price. Right? Demand goes down, what happens to price? It drops.

Education would become more affordable, until students could go back to college and university.

How would colleges and universities reduce cost?

Well..... just look up what university life was like in the 1950s.

They didn't have these 5-star hotel dorms. They had small rooms, with bunk beds, and cinder block walls.

They didn't have these luxurious game rooms, and massive food courts, that cost multi-millions.

If we lower the ability of student to use other people's money to pay for school, schools will start cutting costs, to make education more affordable. And there are hundred of millions of dollars that could be cut, that are only spent to make the school the popular party school.

Most student athletes do not go to school on a scholarship, and of those that do many more are tuition-assistance than full-rides. You are a weak, ignorant, insecure little dope.

That is the dumbest thing on this thread yet. Look if you want to go work for a casino, and that is what you want to do. Be my guest. But stop trying blame everyone else for your choices in life. Grow up. Stop being a child, that only knows how to point fingers. Like a toddler having a hissy fit.

That is the dumbest thing on this thread yet. But stop trying blame everyone else for your choices in life. Grow up. Stop being a child, that only knows how to point fingers. Like a toddler having a hissy fit.

Instead of getting a full-time job and living like an adult, you went to college because you were afraid to grow up. Well, you don't have to be afraid to grow up anymore because you will never grow up. You stole a job from somebody with more talent but too much self-respect to slave away at college, which is work without pay and has no other meaning.

I assume that was an accidental post to me. That doesn't make any sense, and nothing of what you wrote applies to me.
