Freddie Mac & other real estate stocks

I know it seems nuts, but are there people here that are considering to buy freddie mac? Or more decent real estate stocks (Real Estate Stocks Site Map)?

Already bought some at bargain basement prices (FRE and FNM).. they are a long term hold, IMHO.. not looking at a huge gain quick

Cramer's housing bottom countdown is ticking away as we speak, better get in before it's too late!

On the real though, I'd buy FRE and FNM for a flip. I wouldn't own them as long term investments, though. Our next boom cycle isn't going to be that fruitful, and I doubt it'll be catalyzed by real estate again.

I don't buy individual stocks, but I have put a little extra into the Vanguard REIT. Nothing like buying when prices are down 40%. The population of the US is going up to 400 million in the next couple decades, real estate is going to come back.
