Energy secretary, Steven Chu, at the time of his appointment, said that “somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.” And last year, Chu claimed “the price of gasoline over the long haul should be expected to go up."

Chu sounds like the petroleum industry's best buddy. So much for that SOCIALIST Obama.

Most of Europe's high prices is taxes.... so, yea... that is Socialism.

Only one problem there, Obama stated in the past he WANTS gas to go up to do exactly what the reporter asked, to supposedly ween us off gas. He said it in 2008 and has designed policies to increase the price of gas at the pumps in the US. With regulations preventing drilling, with regulations preventing the use of coal shale, by canceling the pipe line from Canada, with regulations to close oil and gas power stations that generate electricity.

He WANTS prices to go up, he just doesn't want to be blamed for it during an election cycle.

Sometimes if you say what you write out loud, you might decide to write something that makes sense. Try it.

So what? So it's now nearly twice as expensive to ship food and other goods than it was 3 years ago. Makes economic recovery alittle difficult. It also makes it more difficult for the poor among us to eat and to stay warm or cool in extreme tempatures.
