Fox News Producer Caught Rallying 9/12 Protest Crowd In Behind-The-Scenes Video
:clap2:
A Fox News Channel producer has been caught in a behind-the-scenes video rallying the crowd during last weekend's 9/12 protest in Washington.
The Huffington Post has confirmed that the woman in the below video — seen raising her arms to rally the crowd behind Griff Jenkins, who was reporting from the scene for Fox News — is Fox News producer Heidi Noonan.
"The employee is a young, relatively inexperienced associate producer who realizes she made a mistake and has been disciplined," Bryan Boughton, Fox News Channel Washington Bureau Chief told the Huffington Post.
The video shows the producer on her cell phone as she urges the crowd behind Jenkins to cheer louder. An "I'm A Foxaholic" poster appears nearby.
The 9/12 movement has been championed by Glenn Beck, and is designed to "bring us all back to the place we were on September 12, 2001" when "we were united as Americans, standing together to protect the values and principles of the greatest nation ever created."
Fox News heavily promoted the protest event, and took out an ad in newspapers Friday asking how other news networks could "miss [the] story," only to have competitors hit back with proof that they covered the protest extensively.

I forgot that working for a news organization means you're not allowed to express your views in a public demonstration under the first ammendment.

Stupid constitution.:eusa_whistle:

Nah. She was trying to whip up the crowd to make the segment better viewing. She wasn't necessarily expressing her personal views.

Fox News rally's pro constitution supporters, the rest of the media rally's pro-socialism supporters.... And the point is?????

The point is, FOX should report the news, not make it.

True. Actually, that gives me an idea for a thread.....

Every news outlet should report the news, all the news and nothing but the news. All to many do it the way she did or wait till the scene is what they want, they always have. When it's done they just make sure they're not caught on camera, it's called experience.

Isn't this the same story FOX accused all of the other networks of not covering? Or perhaps not covering it the way FOX felt it should have been covered? Is this the example of how FOX feels everyone should cover the news? By taking an active part in it, to portray it to fit within your agenda? Glenn Beck, anyone?

Well, for what it's worth the article does say the reporter has been disciplined. Does this mean that the producer simply made a mistake, or is the story indicative of inherent bias? I suspect it's probably the latter and the producer was disciplined for getting caught as much as for doing it in the first place.

This is just my opinion, and doesn't mean much, but I suspect you are 100% correct.

I wonder if she had a warm and tingly feeling running up her leg?

I doubt it. She was WAY too busy trying to get the crowd to cheer louder and louder, so she could then falsley report her version of the story.

It's not really false, is it? Unless you define hyped as falsified.

You may have me on this one. She successfully whipped the crowd into the level of frenzy FOX was looking for, so maybe it was simply her version of the story. Especially since she was such an activate participant!
