Four RINO's Who Breast-Feed From Dems

Lordy, lordy, these states are always at the trough. The red states are in a state of perpetual support by the blue states. The liberal states make the money, and the Conservative states set back in their single wides, and drink up that money.

Bullshit! I'm a conservative from a red state (OK) and I drive past stimulus paid street projects every day. We're sizzling the bacon here like everyone else.

Now read what I posted carefully. That is exactly what I said.

TaxProf Blog: Red States Feed at Federal Trough, Blue States Supply the Feed

The report shows that of the 32 states (and the District of Columbia) that are "winners" -- receiving more in federal spending than they pay in federal taxes -- 76% are Red States that voted for George Bush in 2000. Indeed, 17 of the 20 (85%) states receiving the most federal spending per dollar of federal taxes paid are Red States. Here are the Top 10 states that feed at the federal trough (with Red States highlighted in bold):

Son of a bitch! It helps when I put my reading glasses on. :eusa_doh:

Sounds like Socialism to me....

No, Socialism is when you take money from Fred and give it to Mary because Mary has $.01 less than Fred.

OK. I agree. So why are you Conservatives such Socialists? I mean, why do we in the Blue states have to continually support your lazy asses?

You don't. What you do is manipulate the value of goods and services to suit your own interest and agenda, from a pedestal. ;)

LOL. Same problem here, at times.

Lordy, lordy, you silly ass, there is a reason why we're called the "United" States. Might want to get on board with it, roxie. :cuckoo:

According to the 'Center for Public Integrity', four Republicans that voted against and bashed the stimulus bill, lined up to ask for stimulus money once the bill passed.
How do John Ensign, Mitch McConnell, Scott Brown, and Michele Bachmann explain this? Seeing the stimulus as bad policy, why do they want any part of it?

This is a glaring example of how Congressional members of both parties continue to contribute to the crashing and eventual burning of this country.
It would be beleivable if you had your facts right, Scott Brown was n't even elected yet when the stimulus bill passed. If you can not stop lying, shut up.

Don't mess with the little lefties brains by trying to point out facts. They get all cranky when you do that.

Won't shut up, cuz I ain't lyin'.

When Sen. Scott Brown was sworn in, he made a statement the stimulus didn't create one new job. Two months later he supported using stimulus money for a broadband project in western Masschusetts.

What makes you think I'm a lefty, as I accuse BOTH PARTIES of running this country into the ground?
Actually, its' a non-partisan OP.
Stimulus, bailouts are the new norm. There's more to come. Wait until whole states and numerous pension funds go completely broke. We haven't seen nuthin' yet!

Whyyyyyy.......if there is money to be had, they have a responsibility to see their folks back home get a piece of da pie!

The point you make is a disingenuous one. Their prime responsibility is to politically act in accordance with their political principles.

no, their prime responsibility is to represent their constituents.

this isn't real complicated. that's why one chamber is called the house of representatives.

duh

I opine that in times of a national economic crisis like we're in, the needs of the nation as a whole take priority over the needs of their local voting bloc constituents. This isn't real complicated either.

Then you do agree that the Stimulus Bill should never have been passed in trying times as this. It just ran up the deficit, huh? Glad that you agree with most conservatives. :clap2:

While I disagreed with the way the Government used the stimulus, I certainly wouldn't criticize any of the congress critters for trying to do their best to get funding for their own constituencies. Why shouldn't they? We're gonna pay for the fucking thing. Why should they not try and get something from it?

Personally, I think it's a pathetic attempt to whine about a few politicians - who actually did the right thing.

Might it be that their constituents are paying for the stimulus bill through taxes, and are deserving of the benefits. That wasn't so hard to understand, no?

Sounds like Socialism to me....

No, Socialism is when you take money from Fred and give it to Mary because Mary has $.01 less than Fred.

That would then mean that Fred now has $.01 less than Mary.

Unless you are going to revive the halfpenny.

doesn't matter what kind of shape the nation is in; the primary purpose of an elected official is to do what's best for his or her constituents. it is not to make some kind of brownie points with idealogues.

you can certainly disagree with their decisions, but that's an entirely different ball of wax.

From my own post, why didn't you highlight 'both parties' too?

Surely you realize that counting all federal dollars going to each state is a bit disingenuous. Take out Social Security and Defense and you'll see some different trends. It's the bloated blue states who get the pork.
