How does half of the American electorate fail to know that everything Obama did made things worse, that the measures advocated by Romney would have had the economy booming again within several months rather than years? The housing bust aside, these people don't know their history. All this talk about the worst economy since the Depression is nonsense. The worst economy since the Depression was and remains the 1970's decade of stagflation. Virtually all of the economic indicators were twice as bad as anything Obama faced . . . and yet within two years the economy came roaring back as a result of Reagan's historic restructuring of the tax code.

America is in real trouble. As I have written elsewhere it's not our economic woes that threaten this nation, but the mindless, zombie-like adherence to class warfare and the zero-sum-gain fantasy that has taken hold of so many. I don't see how America can survive it, with a whole new generation on top of this one inured to it as it is.

Obama never had any intention of reducing spending. None. Folks like me understood that from the very beginning at a glance. And his plan is to spend even more.

How can so many not care about the staggering debt they're saddling their children and grandchildren with? Medicare, Social Security cannot be sustained by the application of Obama's calculi. They will collapse.

He is the decline of American, from the top of his pointed head to the toes of his wooden feet.

Obama's victory speech has to be the silliest, slogan-addled trip ever uttered by and elected or reelected president, and the most meaningless flourishes got the greatest applause.

Frightening.

This might have something to do with it.

George W. Bush inherited a strong economy, a budget surplus, and a nation at peace.

Eight years later, he left Obama with a shattered economy, a trillion dollar deficit, and two useless wars.

Obama saved the country from another Great Depression, rebuilt GM, reformed healthcare, reformed Wall Street, doubled the stock market, created 12 straight quarters of GDP growth, created 32 straight months of private sector job growth, got Bin Laden, got Gaddafi, and got us out of Iraq.

And now with the automatic spending cuts and the expiration of the Bush tax cuts in 2012, Obama has solved the deficit problem as well.

Obama has done a very good job.

You can stop with these lies now....your guy won.
It's his 2nd term.....the problems we have from now on are HIS fault. Remember that.
Did you see the Stock Market today? Not looking good.............
Who are you going to blame now?

You are one hard headed prick! There was no surplus under Clinton. Get that through your thick skull!

Obama has already fucked this country beyond belief and he is dead set on finishing the job.

You dipshit liberals will soon wake up to the sound of widespread poverty. Everybody that doesn't have a government job will be fucked.

It is hard to believe how STUPID you are....somehow, I will manage to do so.

False: George Bush inherited an economy coming out of recession, then 9/11 struck, yet precisely because of his tax cuts the economy rebounded and grew faster and much longer. The economy was infinitely better off under Bush than Obama. It's not even close. By every measure the economy of today is vastly smaller than it was under Bush.

You're talking about growth?

The rate of growth under this imbecile is not a gain, but a staggering loss. We have millions of less jobs than before, ten-of-thousands less small business than before. They're gone. Goodbye. Zip. Nada.

This is what you zombies on the left do not grasp: Obama's so-called 4.5 million jobs are jobs acquired by persons working for the first time in their lives, youngsters moving into the work force, or new jobs taken by persons who either moved from one job to another or moved into a job out of unemployment. The actual number of jobs "created" as a net gain IN THE LAST FOUR FRIGGIN' YEARS is barely 275,000 against the number of jobs lost during that same period. But that's not all. The stagnate growth of the economy during Obama's tenure, this year slower than the last and last year slower than the year before that, is not keeping pace with the number of jobs that are needed for those entering the workforce each year for the first time. It's not even close.

The economy needs to grow at a rate that produces at least five times the number of net-gain jobs "created" in the last four years, albeit, each year! We are so deep in the hole, well, never mind. That's five times the number of net-gain jobs acquired during Obama's tenure, times four. And that's a conservative estimate. It's probably closer to 7 times that number each year for four years.

What is wrong with you people? What is it in your minds that allows you to be so easily bought off by the Democratic Party's phony-ass political-speak?

How in the world do you figure that Obama's stimulus package prevented a Depression when over 80% of it never got to the private sector in any significant way? That portion of the money was used by local and state governments to increase pay and benefits for public employees or pay off debt acquired on goods and services already consumed!

LOL! Just as conservatives predicted.

That's why it never moved the economic dial.

Saved GM. Bull! The company would have been better off had it been allowed to go through the normal bankruptcy process with government guarantees on the other end as proposed by conservatives. Not only would it have come out stronger but for a lot less than what we the people put out on that red herring. That was never about saving the auto industry, but about gaining control of it and staving off the union concessions that would have otherwise gone a long way toward making GM solvent again on its own. In the meantime, Obama severely undermined the coal and offshore oil industries, destroying tens of thousands of more jobs than were "saved" in the auto industry. Another net loss that would have taken more than a decade to recover assuming Romney had won. Those jobs may be gone forever with our dependency on foreign sources of energy assured in the coming years.

Oh! But domestic oil production increased during Obama's presidency!

Well, yes, of course, because we had to make up for the shortfall. The only problem with that scenario, besides a smaller industry, years behind in development, is that gas prices soared, because of the higher costs associated with more arduous extraction processes and an increased world demand that we could have been helping to meet with a larger range of access and a larger work force.

We're headed toward a second recession without ever having a real recovery.

Here's what a real recovery looks like in terms of job creation when you unleash the private sector rather than shackle it . . . and in just two years two against economic indicators twice as bad as anything Obama faced:

Done a good job? You're outside your mind.

Solve the deficit problem? The problem is debt. Obama accrued more debt than all of the previous presidents combined. We are over 16 trillion in debt now and will be at 20 to 21 trillion by '16. ObamaCare insures most of that and the increase in taxes will take care of the rest as they will further undermined growth and thus the intake of revenue.

But you don't understand that dynamic or even the fact that even if we did live in your zero-sum-gain fantasy, the increased tax on the "rich," most of whom are small business owners, wouldn't make a dent even if we didn't have ObamaCare to pay for.

LOL!

Leftists: economic illiterates.

Dude, it was never about making things better with Obama; it's about control.

What special group of handicapped minorities must need protecting, patronizing and condescending handouts this term ????????

Unemployment under Obama's first term mirrors unemployment under Reagan's first term.

Reagan started with a 7.5% unemployment rate, it rose to 10.8%, and was over 8% for two plus years.

Then by the time Reagan was seeking reelection, it was at 7.4%

.

Obama is the Democrats Reagan.

We have just had the fastest drop in unemployment since 1984....from 10.2% to 7.8%%. All this in spite of the fact that House Republicans have blocked infrastructure spending bills that would have helped. Why? Because Republicans are more concerned with winning the election than helping America.
