Founding Fathers Vision

The problem with our current society is that common men or woman are unable to get into congress or become the President of the USA. This is going against the original vision for America which was made by our founding fathers. They saw that it should be everyday people who are the people in charge and not career politicians. The career politicians have more loyalty to their party then to the United States betterment. We need to return to that time of everyday Americans control in the country.

Stick to Machiavellian theories Machiavelli and stop imagining concepts that don't exist. The Founding Fathers created the most revolutionary system of government ever seen in the human race. The Country has always been led by influential (and rich) people but the common peasant has the power to hire and fire them every two, four and six years. It's an amazingly powerful tool. Don't blame the system for your own failures, blame the 60% of Americans who don't care enough about the future of the US to vote.

Maybe they'd care more, if elections weren't bought. Support public financing of elections.

I don't know where you got the idea that average people ran America but its not true.

It wasn't true from the getgo, it has never been true, and if you give it a moments thought you'll see that it is never going to be true, either.

The founding fathers would be very pleased with the accessibility of our government. While we have had a few presidents in the last hundred years from elite families (Roosevelt, Kennedy, Bush), most of our leaders have come from humble beginnings and had to work their way to the top.
Working your way to the top means paying your dues and gaining elective office. Yes, that means being a politician. But being a politician means you learn the good and bad of how our system works

A government like ours never could have been envisioned by our founding fathers who were all extremely wealthy
