Former Obama campaign co-chair to stump for Romney

(CNN) - A former four-term Democratic congressman from Alabama and one time strong supporter of President Barack Obama will campaign for Mitt Romney Wednesday.
A Romney campaign aide confirms to CNN that Artur Davis will stump for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee in the battleground state of Virginia.

But Davis said he planned to speak for millions of Americans who, like him, had traced a path from hope to disillusionment with Obama. After spending his entire political career as a Democrat, Davis declared earlier this year that he was a Republican.

“The one thing that I can bring to the table is to be something of a voice for that group of people,”

“President Obama — Senator Obama — ran on two broad themes. One of those broad themes was re-unifying this country. And another broad theme was turning this economy around,” Davis said. “I’ll certainly be talking about those two failures.”

When a conservative comes out for big lib ideas then the lefties here are proclaiming the next coming of Barack. When a former Democrat sees the light it's no big deal.
Double standard anyone?
