I know i'm gonna catch hell from the usual suspects, but sometimes i really do think these social network sites are just CIA/FBI fronts for domestic spying. It's clear, they do work very closely with each other. Google seems to work very closely with the Government as well. And i don't think my assessment is farfetched either. It has been proven that major Telecoms like AT&T do spy for the U.S. Government. But oh well, i guess the People have decided thay want their Police State. It is what it is.

Now you know why I don't facebook or twitter or any of that other inane shit

Yeah, they're all likely just a big sham. The CIA/FBI setting up front organizations has been going on for several decades. So nothing would surprise me. And especially now, with the Patriot Act & NDAA. Anything really is possible.

And the best way to get people "help" they might not want or need is to have the fucking gendarmes storm their homes and take them by force?
From what I gather, they went to question him, not STORM his home. He probably let them in the house himself....you go a head and read his posts and what his commanding officer said about him and excuse him all you want.

Freedom of speech is not without consequence and plotting against the government is illegal.

Plotting is not illegal.

What the fuck are you the thought police?

And the term "resisting arrest" is nothing but an excuse for the use of force by the fucking cops.

Wake up.

I agree with the bolded.

Have you ever said, " I could kill that asshole"

Maybe you need to be involuntarily placed under "observation"

Hmm " I could kill that asshole" vs "I'm going to take my shotgun and blow tha asshole away"

One is blowing steam, and the other is a threat.
Until one actually loads a shotgun and points it at someone there really is no difference

It's merely a matter of perception and opinion.

Yep just a matter of perception and intention till someone is shot.
That is why we have the baker Act to determine if the intention is valid enough to be considered a serious threat.

I agree that Obama should not have signed the NDAA he should have made congress come up with a complete budget including the military money in that.

You do know that the Baker Act is a Florida statute.

This happened in Virginia.

And that threat is determined by a bunch of gun toting government thugs right?

FBI Agents Take Virginia Resident for Facebook Posts, Roommate says,

I swore there was another thread on this but I can't find it. Anyways. They had no warrant for him and they never told him his rights...this is really starting to sound like it fell under the NDAA and yet the people go about their merry lives not giving a shit the country we grew up in is fast becoming a police state.

First they came for the socialists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me.

I do. I'm not going to give up my freedom out of fear, they're going to have to take it from me by force.

If you read his posts, it does sound like he needs mental help so putting him under observation doesn't sound like a bad idea.

I may have to kill myself, but I find myself agreeing with you. If the authorities had been alert, perhaps Major Hassan could have been stopped from committing the Fort Hood massacre of his fellow soldiers. Then again, any move in that direction would be called racial profiling by you lefties because he was a muslim. Never mind!

Why do you think Liberals are against profiling? I think ME adult men people should get more scrutiny boarding airplanes than 6 year old girls. I think it's fine for a cop to pull over a White guy in a BMW cruising through low-income Black neighborhoods.

You really need to turn off the rightwing echo chamber.

My Conspiracy Theory is that the state and local government are targeting selected individuals who they think are drawing too much pay from the government, or undesirables that could potentially cost the taxpayers monies. On arkansasonline.com breaking News an autopsy is out saying the Chavis Carter death has been ruled a suicide.

If your former commanding officer thinks you're turning into a violent nutter....

As far as I'm aware, one doesn't get arrested because your former boss thinks you might be a 'violent nutter'. If that were the case, half this board would be in jail.

Only half?

What's wrong with the quote? If you pull together a financial plan to build a candy store, when you open your doors do CUSTOMERS come in and "BUY" from you? Or is business some other way around.
