Go with the "Do-Nothing" Congress. The "Do Too Much" Congresses in recent years have been much much worse for our nation. Take a closer look at things if you don't believe me. Our Government has left your Kids and Grandkids one hell of a mess. Many future generations will suffer because of what our Government has done. I definitely don't want our Congress doing more. I'll take a "Do-Nothing" Congress at this point.

The only way that the government generates revenue is through taxation (but I'll bet you already knew that, didn't you?) It then, in returns funds projects that puts ordinary Americans to work. By doing that it generates more taxes that contributes to the bottom line of the budget AND the economy. You may not like this answer but it's the truth.

It still amazes me that so many people want their Government always doing something. They don't seem to care that most of their 'something' is awful for our nation. Or any other economy that used public sector expansion to hide a dying private sector.... they're in trouble because their public sector is too fucking big. Nowhere did I ever say we did not need "private sector jobs", did I? In fact, we need LOTS of private sector jobs.

Unlike Warrior warped view I'm glad that you understand that public sector jobs are necessary. That is true. But that also does not negate that public sector jobs contribute to the economy. Look how many towns beg for prisons and other government projects. That's proof enough that public jobs can boost local economies.
