foreigners on Olympic teams

No, they are using South Koreans for their team.
isn't it dual citizenship??
anyway you look at at--the guy spent his whole life on the US
so he's not really, totally [ hahahah ] SKorean....

If he has Korean citizenship, he's Korean. Why does this notion threaten you so much?
I'm not threatened --......

You sure do seem unduly obsessed with this if you're not feeling threatened. If someone is a citizen of a given country, they can represent that country at the Olympics. Pretty simple.
please--PLEASE--specifically explain how I could be threatened in any way

I don't know why you are, but it sure seems that way.

Once again, millions upon millions of Americans were not born in America. They are still Americans every bit as much as you or me.

I see American Alex Gamelin is skating for South Korea
he was granted SKorean citizenship in 2017
what kind of crap is this???!!!
Alexander Gamelin - Wikipedia

I personally lost much interest in the Olympics when they become open to professional athletes.
I thought it was better in that you really did have the best finally able to participate
I thought the USSR had ''professional'' amateurs before the pros were allowed??

...
it's not really SK people that are competing....

Yes, it is. Fact.
if he's dual citizenship--he's American also

And?
he's not a TOTAL SKorean
come on--stop playing games--he never lived in SK
this is a big farce
this would be like the US granting Pele citizenship just before the World Cup
or Japan granting citizen ship to Kershaw right before the Baseball World Cup

...
it's not really SK people that are competing....

Yes, it is. Fact.

Are naturalized US citizens TOTAL Americans?
have they been in the country for more than 1 day? 6 months? 10 years?
not even a close comparison

It amazes me how many were born in one country, were unable to qualify for their national team, moved to another country, applied for citizenship for they could qualify for that country's team. It seems to be the "in" thing to do.
