Using force on another nation cannot achieve peaceful ends. It only creates resistance to occupation, invasion, etc.

So, the US must leave Iraq to succeed, Israel must change tactics in Palestine, and Russia must do the same in Chechnya.

Unless perpetuating the situation of constant conflict is the real goal.

How many here would stop resisting an occupying army?

So I guess our use of Force on Germany and Japan didn't end with 50 years of prosperity between our three nations. Who knew?

Close... so I guess Germany's use of force created what, exactly? Resistence.
What about Japan's use of force?

Self-defense is not the pooint of my argument - aggression is.
Resisting force (usually by more force) can result in many things, peace, more war, it depends... but the INITIAL aggression, force, inavasion, is what I say creates resistence.
