...... another candidate for President - with a name that is not traditionally English (American)? If he or she met all the other requirements to be President of the United States?

A name that sound's (nationalities) ...French, German, Hungarian, Italian,Spanish
Turkish, Greek, etc. (These are only examples)

What about religions, other than "Christianity" .... Judaism, Islamism, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc? What about Agnosticism?

Remembering .... they meet all of the other requirements to be President ...
Requirements to Become President of the United States

*Not sure if this is the catagory this should be in?

They made fun of Dukakis a lot when he ran in 1988

Hey, I wiki'ed Dukakis and found some Biden history:

Using the phenomenon termed the "Massachusetts Miracle" to promote his campaign, Dukakis sought the Democratic Party nomination for President of the United States in the 1988 elections, prevailing over a primary field which included Jesse Jackson, Richard Gephardt, Gary Hart and Al Gore, among others. Dukakis's success at the primary level has been largely attributed to John Sasso, his campaign manager. Sasso, however, was among two aides dismissed (Paul Tully was the other one) when a video showing plagiarism by rival candidate Joseph Biden (D-Delaware) was made public and an embarrassed Biden was forced to withdraw from the race. This situation got uglier when Tully implied that it was Dick Gephardt's campaign (as opposed to Dukakis's campaign) that actually passed along the damaging information on Biden.

Just thought I would say I have already voted for Obama, we mail in our ballots!
And I vote for anyone I agree with on the issues!

For those voting for Senator Obama... do you know that you are voting for a candidate

  • whose academic record is held in strictest secrecy by his campaign,
  • who has a long association with a known terrorist who, as late as 2002 was quoted in an interview as claiming to be an anarchist and Marxist (William Ayers),
  • who boasted last week that he wished, as in a socialist agenda, "spread the wealth around,"
  • who opposed the Born Alive Infant Protection Act -- in effect supported allowing a living infant to die with no medical treatment,
  • sat for 20 years at the feet on an America-hating minister,
  • and promises to raise taxes during a recession-inducing financial crisis.
Is it that you are unaware of any of the above, or are you trying to blunt criticism by claiming it is based on his name or religion?

I am not claiming anything. I have already chosen who I am going to vote for. Obama. I was simply asking if it were someone other than Obama would you vote for them? I agree with Luissa. If the candidate that I have decided to vote for - was someone I belive in, I would give them my full support.

And yes .... I have heard each and everything you mentioned. What more did you want me to say?

Now ... did you have anything else you wanted to add?

I've only mentioned negative aspects, as have you. I wonder if you could mention some of the positive aspects that might cause me to consider Obama?

PoliticalChic = Typical McCain/Palin slurs! :eusa_boohoo:

Your post indicates that you are unable to refute any of the items I mentioned. Using the term "slur" is the intellectual equivalent of "so are you." Rather than "slurs," these are facts. Care to refute any? I thought not.

"Spread the wealth around" is not socialist.

There you go. Refuted. Done and done.

I'll vote for anyone who will cut the size of the federal government by one third regardless of race creed or color.

I think you just ran out of ammunition.

Considering the other idiotic things you think, I'm not surprised you would think this as well. Fits a general pattern of problems with basic thought that seems to afflict you.

And, really...if you want to respond to the point, do so. Otherwise, shut the hell up. I don't feel like playing insult games with yet another internet moron who would like nothing better than to let McCain fuck you in the ass.

I don't have to refute anything. You can vote for whomever you chose, as do I. Me asking this must have touched a nerve with you? You talk down the person I have chosen and that is okay. This is America, you have that right. But unless you have something to say about the question .... then why waste your time on this thread?
