For liberals, does majority rule?

You guys complain about HIllary winning “the popular vote”.

However, You won’t put abortion on the ballot, and GAY MARRIAGE LOST IN CALIFORNIA.

Can you please explain when the majority rules and when you guys are protecting us from ourselves?
Majority rule in a Constitutional Republic - without regards to the constitution is Mob Rule. Majority rule has it's place but only within certain limits - a concept that is to nuanced for some people who's intellectual capacity only allows them to understand issues in concrete, black and white, all or nothing terms. Kind of like a first grader.

The "majority" does not get to vote on issues of civil rights. The SCOTUS made that clear in Obergefell. You should read it.

Only in your fever dreams.

“Gallup. As of October 2017, Gallup polling found that 31% of Americans identified as Democrat, 24% identified as Republican, and 42% as Independent.”

I’m not sure where your loony little link came from but it isn’t reality.

No surprises. Little trumpkins don’t reside in fact based reality.

Just FWIW, Gallup polls this regularly, so there is more recent data. The Democrat/Republican numbers have converged in the last couple months, although it fluctuates quite a bit and I think it's easy to infer too much from this kind of polling.
