For all Obama supporters

America deserves a smart president who understands the problems facing us.

It is so sad that the Republicans are so out of issues, that all they have is personal attacks.

I feel sorry for them.

Obama, Obama, Obama We can change the world, yes we can. Nothing inspires a nation like an ideal whose time has come

great video!

I'm not sure why Cons are so afraid f change. I won't even say it's Republicans because I know plenty of Republicans who are voting for Obama because they too are ready for change. They too want our country to return to what it used to be. They too want to live in a country that is repected not hated by the rest of the world. They too know the time has come for a brighter tomorrow, not just for the few but for everyone.

Obama - YES WE CAN!

Yes I'd like to see change. I just don't think Obama is the guy. I am so sick of voting for the lesser of the two evils.

I don't know what's sadder, that you actually believe that a politician is going to change your lives or that BHO has actually convinced you that he is not just your average every day cheating, lying, stealing, inept, not to be trusted, win at all costs politician.

Believe me the only thing that will change is that you will finally realize that nothing will change no matter who is elected.

that is a fair enough statement Malibu.

but the reality is while you're not sure Obama is the guy who can bring change you can pretty much BET that McCain isn't. Why not take a chance on Obama? if you don't feel he's made enough effort to actually change this country, vote for someone else in 2012.

If it's the lesser of two evils why go with the evil you already know will fuck you?

Well quite frankly I think I will get more fucked by Obama.

Its not about changing my life, its about being a beacon of representation to ALL Americans and re-establish our moral judgement around the world.

I don't know what sadder, that you can't see that or don't want to see that. But at least do me this, keep your patronizing for your own cynicism and not my optimism

But I am optimistic but my optimism is not tied to a politician. No politician is going to be a "beacon" again I puke.

Since we as a country have been deviating from our Constitution more and more, we are no longer a beacon to anyone but we are moving down a path of sameness to the rest of the world (more socialist and less free). And no politician especially one from the establishment ( and yes BHO is nothing but a party line establishment democrat even if he doesn't have the years of experience to prove it) will change the fact that we are less free than we were and if things don't REALLY change we will be less free tomorrow.

Moral judgement?

See that right there is why I will not vote for Obama. If I was part of a church and the minister said stuff like Wright I would never ever go back. I would have got up and left.

If I was in a board meeting and Ayers or someone like him can in and was on the board, I would say " I'm sorry but I can't be part of this with someone like him."

I wouldn't have any ties to someone like his mob friend.

Moral Judgement? Give me a break.

Its called the Patriot Act thats taken our freedom and trampled on the Constitution, so please, don't start talking about the establishment

I for one don't have a problem with the patriot act. If you have nothing to hide, whats the problem.

Nothing to hide? How about the 3 yr old on the no fly list? Give me a break, its UNCONSTITUTIONAL

No point in talking to you, you think I'm crazy and I know you're fucking nuts

Somebody's been drinking the hater-ade!

McCain has just as many radical, unsavory connections...Keating 5, Cindy's mobbed up dad, Council of World Freedom. Then there's Palin's anti-semite pastor...

Not that I think any of this matters. Just pointing out how anyone can be linked to troublesome folks.

yes, Jeramiah Wrighteousness drank rhe hater-aide, then poured a glass for his congregation.

You know. I'm not afraid of change. I believe in the "Yes we can" philosophy. The problem I have is what is change. Yes we can what? We believe what? Obama's supporters cannot answer these questions.

The only answers I get are that Obama will be a change from the last 8 years. How will he be different? Yes we can elect a Black man. Great, why is that relevant to me? We belive in Obama. Great. I don't. Why should I.

I like his messages. He inspires me. The problem is I don't know what to do with that inspiration. What is he going to change and how is he going to do. I'm not happy with McCain on many levels, but he fits me closer politically than Obama. If Obama's campaign were to actually tell me what this "change" is going to be, then I would probably vote for him.

I am not afraid of change. I simply will not blindly follow a movement that has no solid destination.

The patriot Act, the loss of habeus corpus, progressive taxes, federal meddling in the markets, income redistribution, need I go on?

Repudlicans and Dimocrats are equally culpable for the mess we're in. to think otherwise is worse than naive.

I understand the questions. And I certainly don't follow anyone blindly. I would have liked for Hillary to be president, and a woman in the white house would have been nice -- but not just ANY woman.

In terms of what change, I think you're best answered by Obama's website. He's fairly specific in the things he plans to propose. Of course, any proposals are going to be modified by our diminished financial situation right now.. but it will give you a good idea of the goal posts.

As for change "from" what? Well, to those of us on the left side of the divide, it seems pretty clear that it's change from the past 8 years of secrecy, and unitary presidency (I know right-leaners hate those words), and incompetence beyond what even those of us with low expectations of Bush anticipated. A change from the Rush Limbaugh school of debate... as exemplified by the turn in McCain's campaign this week a la Sarah.

And, you know, a change from something else. Peggy Noonan, who is one of my favorite republican types (along with Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan, believe it or not), put it very well this weekend when she was on one of the talk shows, I believe CNN, but could be wrong. She said that she was very troubled by Palin's version of "popularism"... one that says "I'm not city folk... and I represent all of you in small towns"... Noonan asked if you could imagine JFK saying "I am the president of urban america" or of Lincoln saying "I am the president of the north" as opposed to being president of a great nation, as he said at gettysburgh... or FDR saying "I represesnt rich white eastern WASPs". This concept of "popularism" meaning one represents a part of the country and not all of us is damaging... you can see it in the comments on this board about "elitists". Elitists to these people don't mean "snobs"... it means "city folk".... and seems to imply that we aren't one country... very dangerous.

So what are we changing from? Hopefully that type of false "popularism"... that somehow thinks a president should represent only half the country... IMO, of course.
