For a Dose of Real Patriotism...

132 new citizens from 42 countries sworn in during naturalization ceremony at Springfield Armory (photos)

If you've never witnessed a ceremony for new citizens taking the oath, you are missing out on a uniquely moving, truly American moment.

At the end someone should have shouted "now let's go Make America Great!"

When people appreciate their country and the values those who stood, fought and died for, it's a huge deal. Also juxtaposes against those native born who undermine those same freedoms or insult the very system others die to reach.

Appreciating one's country is fine as long as you recognize a government run by a criminal elite, is reality.

feck these immigrants [all of them] , let them stay and stew where they belong and build what they have . EXAMPLE , Look at the 'venzies' , many probably want to escape to the USA after they have messed up a good country of 'venezuela' that was at one time said to be a fine and prosperous country . Same said for 'mexico' and all of 'south america' . Why let them into the USA to mess up the USA eh ??

I understand they're rapists. Eh?

Times change. It used to be "papists". Guess that didn't work out either.

"As a son of Italian immigrants, I am happy to be here today as you all officially become citizens of the United States of America," Sarno said. "Our country is a melting pot and the traditions you bring from your home countries are an important piece of the fabric of our nation."

Are you trying to ask why I gave that comment a thumbs up?

"A minute earlier, they were visitors from Syria, China, Mexico, Uruguay and 48 other countries across the globe.

But once they raised their hands and swore an oath of allegiance to the United States, they were visitors no more. They were citizens — as full a citizen as anyone else who claims that right....

..."You are normal to our experience,'' said guest speaker, retired Marine Corps Lt. General Duane Thiessen, speaking of the immigrant experience in the United States. "We're in this together. You're part of the fabric of the country now. You're part of every stitch.""

Citizenship dream comes true for 138 new American citizens in Phoenix

"The Phoenix ceremony swore in 138 new citizens who came from 33 countries.

The auditorium was packed with those waiting to become citizens, hundreds of family members and friends, and about 1,000 high school students. Educators at the west Phoenix school had students attend the ceremony so that they could learn about the importance and impact of citizenship."

Melting pot my ass.

Only in America! U.S. soccer team booed as they take on Mexico...in California | Daily Mail Online

"If the U.S. soccer team were hoping for the home advantage during Saturday's Gold Cup final then they were in for a nasty surprise.

Despite being the 'home' side in California's Rose Bowl stadium, the majority of fans - most of them American born of naturalized Mexicans - booed and jeered the U.S. team."

"The 37-year-old Monrovia resident reflected the sentiment of most of the 93,000 strong crowd when he added: 'But yet, I didn't have a choice to come here, I was born in Mexico, and that is where my heart will always be.' "

"
Despite the remarkable support for the Mexican side, head coach of the U.S. team Bob Bradley told reporters after the game his team were expecting the hostile crowd.

'Obviously … the support that Mexico has on the night like tonight makes it a home game for them.

'It's part of something we have to deal with on the night.' "

"The American's were not even spared in the trophy ceremony after Mexico's 4-2 win - booed for one final time as they were announced as runners up."

They were sworn in as citizens and as brand newly minted citizens walked over to the table that signed them up for all the benefits that they are now entitled. EBT, obamaphones, HUD housing, cash general relief. The cookie jar is open.

Where would you suggest?

I've always been supportive of legal immigration because many of them bring new ideas we all can benefit from.
