I'm looking forward to reading everyone's perspectives on the future of the economy. I love politics and I believe we need to slowly alter several aspects of how our political system and election processes, but my passion focus is on the future of jobs and the economy in America. Technology and globalization has rapidly changed the occupational landscape of our country over the past 20 years and that transformation will continue to quicken over the next 20 years. Major changes need to take place in our educational system, our tax system, our governance, and to some extent, corporate structures themselves. Changes in policies can be made to improve the volume of jobs and overall prosperity for the middle class and we need to start making those changes soon. If we stay on the course we have been on for the past decade, the numbers show us we will eventually have around the same number of people out of the workforce as in the workforce. There are not enough taxes in the world to sustain that type of situation and we will end up with an economy in free fall. I look forward to discussing the various issues involved in these problems.
