The American political left, definitely more numerous than the right,* suffers from lack of vision and squanders its political weight.

The Alt and Far Right know exactly who is their enemy: defined as anyone not like them.

So they focus all of their energy on the left, the "enemy." The great number of righties do not side with white nationalist alt righters. But they won't call them out; they don't want internal disagreement. Thus, the right is generally not focused on internal disagreement. As long as the Alt Right keeps focusing outward and attacking "the left," their enemy, the Alt Right is orthodox enough for the Right.

The liberals of center on out to the hard lefties, although generally inclusive, focues inwards, imo, too much. The lefties in their social media are always calling each other out, that some are not "pure enough" not "right enough in principle." The pro-Clinton gang reeks of this infighting. Forget it: Bill and Hillary are done. There are no logical heirs. Lefties, drop the Clinton nonsense and focus on goals not infighting.

The "cry of the misogynist", that women know how to do it right (and this includes only a certain elite of the feminists not all feminists), or the cry of ethnic groups (Latino, First Peoples, African Americans) that only they "know how to do it right" because they are what they are - all reeks havoc with the focus of the left.

The identity politics might be well founded in their cause, true to one extent or another, indeed, but as long as the left quits worrying about "purity" and accepts as allies those who are willing to help, the left of center cannot regain power from the far less numerous right. As a friend of mine wrote, the left will never be a strong movement until it stops worrying about allies who aren't allied enough, supporters who aren't doing it right, and advocates who aren't acknowledging their privilege hard enough."

The Right will continue to dominate politically locally, state wide, regionally, and nationally until the Left harnesses its superior numbers and focuses of the Right, "their enemy."

Your premise that the left outnumbers the right is far from proven, likely untrue, and unimportant even if true.
Also there is no real consensus exactly what all these labels you throw around mean. Simply mental masturbation for someone with too much time on his hands.

The o.p.'s stated political configuration reflects current thinking, and shares its error.
What is overlooked is what is arguably more important as and entity. There is a presence, a population segment, that can't stand the 'right' and is sick of 'liberals'.
This group looks at the binary thinking people and shakes its collective head. Their talk of 'extreme right' and 'extreme left' is total hyperbole, yet they take it for real. Then they take ridiculously indefensible stands that they claim they would live and die for (though really they mean kill for).
It would be contemptible if it were worthy of the energy. Instead, it is merely regarded as retrograde, demeaning to the best sense of being human, and as "a film we seen afore 'n it don't end nice!"

The left does outnumber the regardless of what you believe, 9thInf. My titles are clear, we all know what the mean, and your comments are the same as the result of masturbation: sterile.

The fact is Clinton lost because he side could not focus and address the needs competently of the white working class.

Trump did so.

So the below reflects the show:

If the left and center coalesce over the next two to three years with the responsible right, we can be saying:

"Tell Donald I want cheese on the burger."

That is interesting if generally in error.

The Alt Right is a distinct force, and so is the Hard Left.

One focuses well and harnessed the working class, while the other did not focus as it should and could have done.

Frank, this is CdZ, so offer something of merit rather then counting on the far right from the 57 states supporting you.

Why lend credence to something that should be ignored? By giving them attention, you yourself are further emboldening them.

Your fallacy in all this JakeStarkey is "hasty generalization".

No, it is an a priori position, perfectly acceptable, based on common knowledge.

The below will help you, Yiosthey.

Hasty Generalization: This is a conclusion based on insufficient or biased evidence. In other words, you are rushing to a conclusion before you have all the relevant facts. Example:

Even though it's only the first day, I can tell this is going to be a boring course.

In this example, the author is basing his evaluation of the entire course on only the first day, which is notoriously boring and full of housekeeping tasks for most courses. To make a fair and reasonable evaluation the author must attend not one but several classes, and possibly even examine the textbook, talk to the professor, or talk to others who have previously finished the course in order to have sufficient evidence to base a conclusion on.

"The American political left, definitely more numerous than the right" you say. Thanks in large part to our nation not having voter i.d. laws.

That is an unfounded comment, because you suspect but cannot even begin to offer evidence that illegals are voting in any significant much less massive numbers.
