thats what happens when you gamble the welfare of your state on the outcome of a court case and get it wrong.

One would think Florida would have done something to get ready in case the Affordable Care Act was upheld, which it was.

Florida has yet to set up health care “exchanges,” an Internet-based system for buyers to shop for private insurance plans.

Wahts goin on down there?!!! Get w/ the program!!!

If they don't set one up the feds will.

Several states rolled the dice and lost. It's an interesting irony that in general more "progressive" states are asserting state autonomy over their insurance markets, while more, er, "reactionary" states are deliberately ceding it to the federal government as part of some sort of temper tantrum. But they can always take back that authority from the feds if they want it. The (strange) question is whether the politics of their states allow them to do so.
