This isn't the first time a White House or cabinet official violated the Hatch Act. It happened several times in the Obama administration but the OSC didn't recommend the removal of the official. In 2012, the OSC said Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius made “extemporaneous partisan remarks” in her official capacity in violation of the Hatch Act. Sebelius acknowledged her remarks were a "mistake" and she was not removed from her position due to the violation. Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro, who is now a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, violated the Hatch Act in 2016 by praising then-Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in an interview at his HUD office, but President Obama did not remove him from his position. “To his credit, Secretary Castro acknowledged the mistake that he made,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said. “He owned up to it, and he’s taken the necessary steps to prevent it from happening again. That’s the expectation that people have when you make a mistake, particularly in a situation like this.” The OSC was also investigating Obama's former Labor Secretary Hilda Solis for violating the Hatch Act but the matter was closed when she resigned from her position in 2013.
According to the complaint, Solis "left a voicemail message on a subordinate employee's government-issued Blackberry in which you asked the employee to contribute toward and assist with organizing others to attend a fundraiser for the President's reelection campaign." The OSC indicated that it could re-open the probe into Solis if she were nominated for an executive branch position sometime in the future.

Obviously, the Hatch Act applies to only Republicans, Progressive Marxist Socialist/DSA Democrat elitists are exempt. This is just a bunch of Bovine Scatology. Conway's a political appointee. Everything she say's is going to be political. File these charges against Kelly Conway in File 13...
I guess everyone has forgotten when Al Bore as Bubba's VP made fundraising phone calls from his office and when caught he said there was "no controlling legal authority"
Notice the avalanche of criticism against Trump and his administration as of late? It's what the left has been doing since before Trump was sworn in! There's some calm, then the criticism comes in waves, demands for resignations, indictments, violence, whatever they can get away with, and more! It's a trend that hopefully AG Barr can take care of with some indictments of Obama era officials! Let's get it on!
What the PMS/DSA Leftist have failed to consider is that Obama violators were all Cabinet Members running Administration Departments. That is a much more serious problem than a counselor to the President who has no direct public service function.
IMO, if they want to go after Trump employees for the Hatch Act, let's go after every single PMS/DSA Democrat who takes it upon themselves to enter unauthorized - and contradictory - conversations with foreign powers: like John Kerry, for starters violating the Logan Act.

Until we in America shed our fear of being called racist we can never elect another minority for president again...our feds and the GOP just sat back and allowed Obama and his gang to break every law we have.....all because he was the special color....

So Republicans have no morals or values beyond what they imagine liberals are doing?

corrrection, demoPUBLICANS. that other party is reprocrats.:D

Hmmm. Perhaps it's because where as these people apologized and didn't do it again. Conway has done it multiple times and wen't the complete opposite direction and mocked the Hatch Act and damn near admitted that she wouldn't stop doing the very thing that violates it.

No they didn't. And Conway is in trouble for doing it on multiple occasions then arrogantly telling people to do something about it.

Whataboutism all the time.

They did it once, were called out & they did not repeat.

Trump & his cronies do it all the time.

There is no comparison.

Regardless of the whataboutism...the Hatch Act obviously needs to be enforced.

Don't give a shit about what they did. If they actually did anything untoward, at this point there's nothing anyone can do about it.

But that doesn't mean the law shouldn't be enforced. "But they did it" isn't an excuse...

When she hopped off the RNC payroll and onto the US Federal payroll she no longer became a political counsel, but a government employee.

But great point at how obvious her illegal actions under the Hatch Act have become where we can no longer even differentiate it seems.

And while the OP showed how she, like govt employees under Obama were first given a warning, now the Trump appointed and led OSC is saying her illegal acts repeatedly have caused them to recommend her firing.

Obama era officials are still breaking the law today......Kerry is one step away from being arrested....Comey has had to lawyer up...Brennan is most certainly going to be prosecuted as well as several others below him....

All Federal law should be enforced, Especially those regarding National Security, Sedition and Treason. Something that Democrats seem to believe they are exempted from.

Let us know when Kelly Ann Conway and the president, ADMIT to it being wrong, and repenting, by never doing it again! Instead of SPITTING and LAUGHING in the face of the law!
