Sorry to hear of the floods and hope they do no damage to anyone there.

Mother Nature just isn't being very equanimous this year. Droughts, tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, tropical storms, and floods. Our great country has seen it all.

Hope things get better in NC. I heard and hope it is not true that another storm is following Irene. Maybe it will just go Atlantic or something. We need a good gullywasher to roll into the Gulf and water the central southern states of Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, and New Mexico.

I hope the flash floods don't occur. I was camping by a gentle creek about 15 years ago. Heard a roar in the night. Woke up to a raging river and no way out for nearly a week. Sheriff choppered out some folks with medical conditions. The rest of us just sat there, realizing that if we'd been ten feet closer to the "creek", we'd all have been dead.
