As someone else already posted earlier today, who would know what was burned? A real flag or a fake? What are the cops going to do, ask for the receipt? Send the ashes to some lab?

Okay, so like we're gonna imprison Americans for desecrating a flag made by godless Communists? Pardon my lack of understanding, but I am having trouble thinking this one through. Please explain.
