Convicted Boca Ponzi scammer sentenced to more than 15 years in prison
WEST PALM BEACH — A federal court judge this afternoon sentenced convicted Ponzi scammer Michael Meisner to 188 months in prison for defrauding hundreds of people out of millions of dollars.
Meisner, of Boca Raton, had pleaded guilty to three felony charges last year for scamming more than 260 investors out of $38 million through his Phoenix Diversified Investment Corp. At least four of those investors are owed more than $1 million each.
A hearing is scheduled for May 28 to determine the amount of restitution Meisner owes to the victims of the fraud.
U.S. District Court Judge Kenneth Marra also sentenced Meisner, whose prison term comes out to 15 years and 8 months, to five years on probation. He faced up to 30 years in prison.
we should note , that Boca Raton is well known as little Tel Aviv!, 45% of their citizens are from the same tribe.
