Does anyone know if current technology is good enough to make a blurry old picture clear? I have some very old ( 50 - 130 years ) pictures that I would love to see more clearly.

Maybe, but I am not sure if it's super blurry. I would do a little research online to see. You never know...it could be possible! I'd definitely try to check it out.

There are lots of things you can do with a program like Adobe Photoshop but unfortunately, bringing an out of focus photograph into focus is not possible.

This is just a test. I am trying to reformat some old pictures into usable files and I think it worked!!!

I'm sure it can be done with enough money, to an extent.

Restoration has been achieved on some pretty degraded classics.

There are, of course, limits. I imagine that one could, in theory, be able to use a computer to model the effect of the lense(s) on incoming light to begin to unscramble out-of-focus imagery, much like the FBI unswirling that guy's face a while back or researchers decoding light that had passed through semi-opaque surfaces (did I post that link? It was in one of my RSS a while ago; maybe I'll try to track it down)
