and is a steaming heap of whale dung....Let's continue to erase Obama from the history books but leave a legacy of failure in ACA.

POTUS is being attacked from the machine within which is the swamp that splits both sides of the aisle

Let Obamacare wither and die on the vine of socialism

-Geaux

Yeah! Both sides are failing to come up with plans or policies to solve this problem. Absolutely, the ACA is nothing but Dem ideology in legislative form. It represents exactly what the Dems wanted in 2008 without compromise. You nailed it again.

There isn't a better example of what happens to an important issue when it becomes politicized.

The answers are out there, but our "leaders" are more worried about re-election and remaining obedient to their ideology.

I think that its bigger than that. McCain is getting even with POTUS in spades. Collins? Enough said there.

It could be the best thing ever since sliced bread, but if Mr Trump looks good as a result, forget about it. The machine cannot afford to have Trump succeed at any cost.

Tough to figure out McCain's motivations on stuff. Everything is so polarized, any person who doesn't obediently fall in line is either brave & principled or shifty & suspect.

Not on obamacare.

He's been a never Trumper since the campaign, and now since he's dying of brain cancer, he doesn't give a flyin' crap who suffers from his actions so long as he can stick it to Trump before he dies.

I don't think their is a third option when you go against the grain. Your either principled, or shifty, what's the third option?

And what is McConnell doing? He should of applied leverage to get the pubs in line by punishing disenters

You do realise people die without medical care, or is you being Republican more important than being human?

Well, it would be understandable, given Trump has personally insulted him, his friends & colleagues, and his party on so many occasions.

If Trump thought he could do all that and everyone would still obediently fall in line, he was dreaming.

Depends on your definitions. Personally, I don't think being a blind, obedient party partisan is principled.

Have you ever noticed that, in order to fall in with the POV that USMB nutbags carry, you must accept that most people...especually most public servants...are innately mean spirited and have bad intentions?

There are some people who don't place a high priority on "getting in line".

I look at that as a positive, don't you?

There are "answers"? But I thought there was only one answer, socialism.

The US has been dragged kicking and screaming into the socialist mire, which has gotten us this far. Who is there to pull the US out? Certainly not McCain's GOP.

The US has become a centralized behemoth where there is a one size fits all approach to everything and they will continue to pound the round object into the square hole until it fits.

Federalism died a long time ago.

Here is why the Canadian model does not work despite what you hear from Bernie.

We desperately need to get out of this binary, either/or way of looking at things. Life is complicated.

I agree, but president Trump has the majority of Americans support, but the swamp in Washington is in the toilet.

I agree that would be nice, but the way it's been going, it's just getting worse with no end in sight.

Probably wind up having another civil war if it continues.

No. He doesn't. Why do you believe that?

Nope. No civil war is in our future.
