Obama wanted to deplete our armed forces. That is why we are learning about after his presidency ended. Another failed part of the legacy.

Today, only about 1/3 of our BCTs, 1/4 of our Combat Aviation Brigades and half of our Division Headquarters are ready. Of the BCTs that are ready, only three could be called upon to fight tonight in the event of a crisis. http://docs.house.gov/meetings/AS/AS00/20170207/105530/HHRG-115-AS00-Wstate-AllynD-20170207.pdf
Again the Question is why are we only learning this now......,,,Think a lot of house cleaning needs to be done
Because there's a outsider on the inside!
Can't wait til more of the piles of dirty clothes are laid out!

This is just the way democrats want it. If they had their way, the United States would have no defenses at all, even the public would be disarmed.

Obama and Bill Clinton had the same approach.

Both wanted to control spending, but increase the social net. The only way to avoid cutting give-away programs was to gut the military. Clinton did it, and all of sudden, our military was inept and under-equipped for Desert Storm and Iraq.

Obama did the same --- funded his social programs by depleting the military.

There are only two ways to ensure the security of the nation - either, create a military force so technologically advanced that it offsets the power of the enemy, of have enough bodies to throw at the cannons until we bury them in bodies.

The question is simple - do you want to spend dollars or kids?

Oh...and you're running out of bombs,,,,great job Obama......I'm sorry we need to exit posthaste from Afghan and Syria.....before nothing is left of anything military wise

Actually, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense .... we'll save our bullets so that we can shoot the next thing that pops up ...

Sounds to me like you're just a tad afraid of everything ... paranoia is not a state west of the Mississippi

Indeed a crapton of housecleaning needs to be done. He purposely inserted his people into key positions and fired many competent military generals. It was fairly well planned and thought out.

Which of course is not what I said.......entire military is looking burned to the ground

What do you expect for a measly $600 billion a year?

A useful military?

You people are delusional.

do tell...over half navy fighters are sidelined and Army has 2-3 BCT redy to go.....where did all the money go.....and now we are burning ammo at an unsustainable rate.....lest have an audit and find out what the hell is going on....btw Trump getting half off AF 1 and significant cut on F-35 shows we are being ripped off big time on acquisition. BTW 2......Comparing our expense to Chinese is not an apple to apple...they buy a lot from state owned companies.....methinks they pay fairly close to cost on that eh unlike us

Well you fell for that hook, line, and sinker. They were projecting those exact price reductions well before the election, in fact as far back as 2014 they thought F-35A would go under $100 million by LRIP-10 in line with the consistent price drops that come with economy of scale. When price drop happens of course Trump crows about how he was responsible, and his adoring fans lap it right up.
