Durning the campaign I recall Obama blurting out several times in regards to education that he wanted his daughters to have a chance at a good education.

I don't know so am going to ask do we pay for their education at 30K each?

Hey, if I had Obama's resources I'd probably send my 7 & 10 year olds to Sidwell too, well maybe not there, but the conservative counterpart. With that said, I'm not the one encouraging folks to give up selfish ideas of working for 'the man', encouraging them to 'service positions' unlike myself & wife. Indeed, Obama was at the forefront with his friend Ayers in 'reforming' public education, yet doesn't think it good enough for his children, even when living in Hyde Park he sent his kids to the U of C lab school.

Question, with a school like Sidwell, regardless of 'racial make-up', is there any diversity? Is it not at root, socio-economic homogeneity?

Private schools usually have a much smaller class size. They also have a lot more time to devote to individual students, and the right to tell those that are trouble makers that they need to move on. If a person is fortunate enough to have a gifted child, and the means to send them to a private school, then that is a wise decision.

No. Why would we? As far as I know, the Obamas pay for their children's schooling, just as they pay for other personal items and expenses. We DO, however, pay for the security provided for their daughters while they're at school.
