College education is the main investment in human resource and therefore plays a major role in the development of a country.

When are people going to figure out that our educational system is obsolete?

When was it decided that high school science should be taught in the order

Biology, Chemistry and then Physics?

1893!!!

In 1893 the structure of the atom had not even been figured out.

Now we have smartphones that are more powerful than mainframe computers of the 1980s. Our educators don't know how to best use this technology and will not want to use it in any way that does not serve their economic interests.

Bennett

Kids that teachers did not want to bother with were learning via computers in 1987. Why couldn't educators have created a National Recommended Reading List decades ago? We can't have kids believing they can learn without teachers to dribble out information.

GE Creates 1,000 High-Tech Manufacturing Jobs in TX and PA | GE Reports

When I see states like these becoming the home to high tech jobs, I think, "Good". Then I realize GOP run states are slashing funding in education and training. Oops, that means only immigrants will be qualified for these jobs. Republicans will lose the jobs because education is for snobs, losing the jobs to immigrants they hate. There is some kind of "circular irony" there.

It isn't JUST our educational system that is obsolete.

Our social contract is obsolete.

It's been obsolete since Oct 1929, really.

We keep patching our economic system but the basic design is based on a flawed premise that makes the whole thing somewhat less functional and efficient that it ought to be.

These problems won't stop untol we recognize that basing our economy on the premise of the SCARCITY MODEL (that model once made perfect sense, I note) creates most of our economic and social woes.

That's part of our life. We aged, we mature.. So is education. Just wait and see for the time the education system to become fully developed.

As they said, change is the only thing constant in the world. So that means education, in time, will no longer be obsolete as you say. It will CHANGE..:eusa_angel:
