Final word on Tea Party and 2010 elections: Libs, it gets worse

Most Americans want to see spending addressed first and foremost... the notion that all spending except military is off the table is absurd. Entitlement spending has to be addressed along with the gazzillions wasted on the USDA, EPA, Dept. of Energy & Education, etc. Every year we're told we need to spend more, and every year the same idiots tell us it is worse.. then we need to spend more, then it is worse, then we need to spend more, then it is worse, then we need to spend more...... Bullshit.

I believe most people would be more than happy to see entitlement programs cut as long as "defense" spending is cut by the same proportion. Would you go for that?

I think there is a LOT that could be cut from Defense... But let's be clear... entitlement spending growth has outpaced defense spending for nearly 40 years.

I would agree, but I hope most people would agree that our defense budget has grown to monumental sizes because some folks believe we have an obligation to police the globe.

Bush's tax cuts aren't a problem except for Obama's new spending.

Except that they were a problem and they didn't do what the Bush Administration was counting on. They originally cost 1.7 trillion dollars over 10 years and if they are extended for all taxpayers, it will cost us 3.1 trillion dollars over the next 10 years. If extended for only those making less that 200,000 a year will cost us about 2.1 trillion dollars over the next 10 years.

REALLY? How do you expect to pay down the debt if you cut taxes?

Nobody is cutting taxes. They are keeping taxes where they are.

The Bush era tax cuts are unsustainable, cost 1.7 trillion dollars and if extened for all tax payers will cost an extra 3.1 trillion. They should have never been enacted.

Since the money represents labor of the Americans who earned it in some fashion, tax cuts COST nothing. It was not the government's to lose.

Of course it is. Budgets are formulated base on expected tax revenues. And any American who decides the tax rates are simply too high and no longer wish to give the government "their labor" earned money, are free to move to any other country that will have them, right?

Clean up? Clean up how? You have tea party candidates advocating for violent revolution, preaching religious and ethnic bigotry, calling the President the "worst" in history, shilling for big business and the rich, playing "dress up" in Nazi uniforms, wanting to eviserate the United States Constitution, and preaching lockstep fealty to the notion that compromise is not an option.

I wish people were paying more attention. Perhaps when they are living in cardboard boxes..

LOL That read as a soap opera. OH THE DRAMA!!!!

Drama? What drama.

That's what you guys put up.

Well..maybe it is a little dramatic. Dramatically nuts.

Marxists don't pay taxes.

Maybe they want to find a commie country.

That's like say a cut to the maintenance costs nothing in a co-op..since the maintenance costs really doesn't belong to the co-op building. Who the heck pays for the water, gas, electricity and sanitation?
