Oil is the enemy. Oil is responsible for our civilization. Without oil you wouldn't have anything. Everything would have to be made of wood and metal instead of plastic. Oil is the engine of all of our technological advancements. Getting rid of it would put us back about 150 years. We would have no space program, no aircraft, no trains, no cars.

Do you want us to go back to horse-drawn carts no computers and a shortage of electricity? Get rid of cell-phones and refrigerators?

There we go with the right wing extremes again. There just is no middle ground with you people is there?

No, we cannot get off fossil fuels immediately, but we aren't even TRYING. SUV after SUV on the freeway with only ONE passenger in it, a horrible mass transit system, states with no recycling programs...not even an ATTEMPT to conserve anything even though conservation will work MUCH better than drilling for more of a finite fuel source.

This smacks of something that passed the legislature soon after Obama's taking office. Originally, it was called "The Corporation" and then went to many other titles. It was to finally involve the children in public schools, part of the curriculum to be a community "helping" acivity, but more of a socialistic bent.

After high school, all students would have to spend two or three years of education in special colleges to learn civil actions needed for the "civil army." I talked about it a great deal at the time, but no one was interested, for Obama could do no wrong.
