Fight Club is the story of Calvin and Hobbes as adults

Metaphilm - Fight Club

For any fan of both, you will laugh at this. I thought it was hilarious.

That was an excellent comparison of the two works. Heavy on the Jung, but thankfully (Freud had a fixation). Calvin and Hobbes was my all time favorite strip. It was discontinued on my birthday. One year, for Christams, I drew a cell for my son. It has Hobbes with his arm around Calvin, under a tree: Calvin:
"'You know, sometimes the world seems like a pretty mean place."
Hobbes: 'That's why animals are so soft and huggy.'"
Bill Watterson

I had this conversation with a guy I met at school. We were talking about how our parents stressed the conformity the article you posted considered. I wondered how much we might have evolved, really. Our parents wanted us to swallow the pills, because they thought conformity or consensus would be better for our chances in the world... We instead tell our children to hide them under their tongues, thinking that the appearance of conformity or consensus would be better for their chances...Maybe OUR children will tell our grands to spit the poison out right up front. What a wonderful world it could be...
