Fewer Americans want to serve in the military. Cue Pentagon panic | William M Arkin

IDEA: Try using the U.S. military for something important, like protecting our country, and more young men might be interested in joining the cause.

Strange that young people don't want to leave their homes, risk life and limb to join a 20 year war in Afghanistan, the point of which everyone has forgotten ...

The Brave.
The Bold.
The Generals fired by Obama for not ascribing to his leftist politics.
The Rules of Engagement always tying our hands from winning.
The eternal Police Actions that never resolve.
The forced homosexuals.
The forced women.
The forced Political Correctness.
The arresting of soldiers for actually killing the enemy.
The often outdated weapons and hardware in need of repair.
The inability to call a muslim a muslim that ended in the Fort Hood murders.
The disarming of soldiers made defenseless on their own base.

I just don't understand what the problem is here.

When ever the unemployment numbers go down people have more employment opportunities. Let's face it the military is not that great of pay when you look at the loss of life or limb benefits.
