Fellow americans its about obama in 2012, not who runs against him

I voted for Obama in '08 and I don't regret it. For all I know, if McCain had been President, I'd have been drafted by now and sent to fight in Iran. But I've still been very unhappy with President Obama's performance. In '12, I'll vote for almost anyone other than Obama . . . except McCain or Palin.

Why do you think the way you do with McCain?
(see next thought?)

McCain was to old, but it would not have matter in 2008 even though. The amount of spamming from 02-08 had everyone thinking 5% UE was bad and Iraq was lost
deficit spending that was 1-2% GDP was horrible
And the housing bubble was due to GWB and his de regulation (He never de regulated nothing to do with housing in 8 years)

Palin is in it for the cash. She would lose money running for office and she does allot better on Fox etc...

Wrong again Bucs.

People still remember how bad Bush fucked up this country. Then the Republican run on creating jobs, then get into office and say "Oh we didn't say that, we said we would take away worker rights and women rights."

The American people see you are liars like Bush. People don't want another liar, they want a leader. President Obama is getting reelected and you stand NO CHANCE

Care to provide any evidence that Republicans ran on creating Jobs? I seem to recall them running on cutting spending, and limiting out of control Government.

I await you proving me wrong.

I have a thread that says the very same

A plan to create jobs, end economic uncertainty, and make America more competitive must be the first and most urgent domestic priority of our government. So first, we offer a plan to get people working again. We will end the attack on free enterprise by repealing job-killing policies and taking steps to assure current businesses and future entrepreneurs that the government will not stifle their ability to compete in the global marketplace.

I just happened to disagree with almost everything McCain said. I just thought he was totally backwards. Someone could have been randomly guessing on things and still got more things right than him. His "100 years in Iraq" comment pretty much guaranteed that he would lose. Talk about being totally out of touch.

That's just it, Immie. You want to make claims you cannot quantify. The fact is 192K jobs were added last month. The dems are gonna argue again that we were so damn stupid and greedy when we had office that of course the economy exploded. We have to come up with a candidate who has cred to deal with thus stuff. Sarah, Michelle, and Newt flatly don't. Paul does, but he does not have the groundswell that he needs. Huck won't run: the Arkie is making real good money for the first time in a job he is pretty good at and having fun with. Guess who that leaves us?

We? I'm not a Republican. I could not really give a crap if another Republican or Democrat won anything at all above dog catcher. Don't include me in "we", please.

And, added jobs is up one month down the next and numbers are adjusted later. The job market sucks... plain and simple.

Immie

Thanks for the clarification. Your opinion then on GOP candidates is immaterial to me. I am convinced that libertarianism would be worse than another round of Obama. Now watch the fur fly!

Libertarianism? Did I say anything at all about libertarians?

The way I see it the entire kit and kaboodle of our political elite have sold themselves out regardless of party or persuasion. It doesn't matter which party they belong to. It is a terrible shame but American politics have become the organized crime families of the 1930's

What I believe we need to do is clean house, but I don't see that happening.

And it is not the people that get into politics themselves. It is the system that corrupts them. Most generally get into politics with good intentions, but all fall in the end.

Forgive me, but from what you say here, it does sound as if you regret your vote for President Obama. Maybe you can clarify what you mean.

I know what you mean though. I voted for Bush and I regretted it.

I honestly do not believe that anyone that runs against President Obama in '12 will be any better or worse than our current President or the last one for that matter.

The "100 years in Iraq" line was one of the few, rare, honest moments of the presidential campaigns. Sad he took it back.

Almost 70 years later we're still in Japan and Germany for no reason, my guess is we still will be 34 years from now, and my guess is we'll handle Iraq the same way we've handled every country we've been at war with since the 1930's.

Has anyone ever actually ran a Libertarian based government?

We were fiscally libertarian about the first 50-70 years of our country's existence, not socially and haven't been either since.

That would be news to George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, the rest of the first cabinet and the brand new 1st U.S. Bank, capitalized with federal 20% funding and one-fifth of the Board of Directors government appointees. This is common knowledge for any educated and knowledgable person in the U.S. today.

Where do you guys come up with the stuff you post?

Yes they ran on cutting government spending to create jobs yet kill more than 200,000 jobs.

So be it. So much for job creation.

And with an improving enonomy, the GOP and their slightly retarded Tea Bagger brothers may have an uphill battle ahead.

You make an assertion, BrianH, you have to support it with evidence that is clear and understandable. Your opinion is not enough. You can't make an unsupported opinion then call for evidence to defeat it.

You need to go talk to bigreb. He at least does his best to post evidence. It always contradicts his point, but he is trying.

It is FACT and common sense that the more there is of something, the less valuable it is. This is why diamonds are so expensive. It is FACT that the U.S. is not on the gold or silver standard. It is FACT that the dollar is roughly equal to the Mexican dollar. It is FACT that if our government continues to print out money, then it will devalue the dollar. it's already been happening considering that they HAVE been printing out money, and the dollar HAS devalued from what it used to be.

I don't have to provide links for basic knowledge and principles. I'm not talking about the laws of physics, I'm talking about basic economics. If I'm as wrong as you suggest, you could easily post a link proving me wrong. But instead, you play a rhetoric game that gets you nowhere but in the shitter. According to you, I could tell you that the sun lights and warms the Earth, but you're not going to believe it until I post a link from NASA. What a jackass....:clap2:

We've been in Korea for almost 60 years. I don't think this is an "Iraq" issue. This is a Middle East issue. We've been obsessed with the ME since our country's founding.

In other words, my friend, we listen to you than to all of the economists and finance specialists and all that stuff. Yes, you are in the shitter. End of story.

You finally give us something grounded in common fact. So, you are not stupid, simply a homer for your side and don't mind stretching the truth. Got it.

I stated something in this post without posting a link, why aren't you freaking out? The U.S. being in Korea is no more or less a fact than the devaluing of our dollar. Prove that the dollar isn't devalued by the printing of more money without anything to back it up......

Yeah, because all of the government economists and politicians are fiscal wizards....:cuckoo: Where have you been the last 10 years?

THAT is your answer?

THAT is why we should listen to you?

The CultofBrianH thus spake.

Prove it wrong. Until then, I'm going to continue considering you as the biggest dumb-ass on these boards. I have not stated anything illogical on this thread regarding the devaluation and printing of money. If you polish a turd it's still a turd; and sometimes turns into diarrhea. I don't care how many ways our politicians figure out how to divide, cut, and/or spend our money, it will mean nothing in the long run unless they quit contributing to the devaluation of the dollar compared to the rest of the world.

The politician and economist wizardry comment is just my opinion of our "fearless leaders."

You have to support your assertion with clear evidence, stats, analysis, reason, and so forth. Your half baked nonsense does not cut it. No one is required to rebut what is rebutted in its own argument. You have only an unsupported assertion.

You clearly have no idea of about what you are talking.
