Did you notice how the articles in Longknife's post said that they would continue to get paid at the frozen rates until the government reopens?

Chances are, they are saying they will not accept the pay raise while the government is shut down, but when it reopens, they will more than likely get back pay for their raise, and quietly accept it.

The furloughed workers? Screw 'em, they don't get a check. But, according to Trump, he doesn't mind because most government workers are Democrats.

The ones that have to work without pay until the government reopens? Again, screw 'em, they are gonna get back pay so it's all good (even if the shutdown lasts a long time).

The idiots in government that actually caused this mess? Not only will they get a pay raise, but they are also going to continue to receive their checks. They and the president appear to be unconcerned when it comes to the workers.
