He could easily have had 100% increase in deportion courts and law enforcement, beefed up e-verify, and vigorous deportations of those illegally here for a long time. Serious regulation of temporary agricultural workers. It could have been a Big League change in immigration enforcement. It would have moved his polls, and I don't think his faithful would abandon him for sincere efforts.
