Well the FDA now has control over the Drug industry. The FDA has informed drug manf, to cut production of all Morphine based drugs. They are setting the numbers for reasons they think will reduce the pills on the streets. I have never heard any stupid reason as this. First it allows high prices for the drugs, and since a 30 day supply of Oxy is now 500.00 people will have to change to some other drug or buy drugs from the street. Just who is going to make the big bucks that the FDA is pushing.

Patterson, acting administrator of the DEA, says that the DEA received over a hundred comments that expressed concern that the proposed 20 percent reduction would adversely affect the availability of pain-relieving prescription drugs for people with chronic pain. These comments, however, did not impact the final quota.
