FBI agents raided the home of D.C. councilman Jack Evans (D) on Friday, a day after a confidential memo made public alleged that Evans "knowingly" violated ethics rules to benefit his friends and clients instead of serving the interests of Washington's transit agency, Metro. The Washington Post (https://www.washingtonpost.com/local...=.b00e5a453484) reported Friday that FBI agents raided Evans's Georgetown home early in the morning, instructing Evans to wait outside in a car while they conducted a search.... Kadia Koroma, a spokeswoman for the U.S. attorney’s office for the District confirmed the "court-authorized law enforcement activity" at Evans's house in a statement to the Post. Evans and his attorney didn’t return requests for comment from the Post.
He had previously stated that his decision to not seek reelection to Metro's board of directors was unrelated to the ethics probe, and had denied any wrongdoing. “The FBI is present for court-authorized law enforcement activity; we cannot provide further comment," the agency told the Post Friday in a statement.

It did not say he was charged with any crime(s). He was asked to wait in his car. Not arrested. Seems like this was for show.
When is the last time one of these police state types were raided? After all, you might just remember that we have evidence that some of these thugs were involved in a failed coup d' etat attempt.

I’m being a bit cynical here, but you’ll have to admit that the number of raids has drastically increased and with that due process rights. Our BOR was supposed to protect us from these abuses. Remember the federal agencies are basically unaccountable. I have posted on this issue numerous times.
Story says they knocked on the door and asked him to wait in his car while they searched his house, they did not raid the home breaking in with a swat team to the home of a deaf woman who must of been very startled to be woken up by men appearing to her as soldiers. I guess that CNN was not called to be there ahead of scheduler to record the event on TV this time...
Obviously since there's a Democrat involved there will little response to this post.

The Metro is a train that sometimes is above and sometimes below ground and stops at the basement of the Pentagon which is a mall and the first and only time I read Fusion Magazine which I bought and after reading, threw it in the trash. Atlanta also has a Metro but it never goes below ground.
