It's true. But you can't knife a person from half a block away, or from a car window or knife 17 through the door of a classroom without getting any guts on your sneakers.
You can with a gun. Guns are part of it. Why people kill each other with such regularity in this country is another part of it. Ignoring the gun in the equation is not reasonable, though.

It survived before 1885 and I'm sure only the military got them then, so we do no need them to have a constitution.

The kids in my daughters high school are mobilizing themselves against lawmakers who have done nothing in regards to gun laws. Mind you, I live in a rural northern community where a lot of people own guns and hunt. However, the days of a Wisconsin group calling themselves the Posse Comitatus, are long gone. Most parents up here are supporting their kids on this, including myself. The argument of knives killing more people is irrelevant. People want to see action, legislation in regards to guns, not "thoughts and prayers."
