FBI documents raise new questions in Wellstone death

So because the FBI did their job and investigated all possible leads AND found no evidence to support sabotage you are claiming the mere act of investigating a possibility PROVES that it was what happened?

I fail to see a single source to any evidence to support your claim. Just a "damn they did not like him" claim.

By the way the CIA hated Bush. They routinely leaked material on him. Illegally I might add. But you want us to believe they were ordered to kill a US Senator for Bush and it has been kept secret for 8 years? Sure thing.

Probably because most of them got their Jobs there when his father ran it?

If ignorance is bliss -- you shall be the king of bliss!

People that blame the CIA for every suspicious death of a high profile individual are idiots. The world doesn't work like that. There are literally thousands of capable killers out there that could snuff someone. Enough money or threat and ANYTHING is possible.

I've always had little doubt that Minn. Sen. Paul Wellstone was murdered shortly before the 02 midterms and shortly after the Iraq vote (the only truely progressive senator). This is based on the evidence, not feeling.

Another conveniently timed plane crash, just like Mel Carnahan, Mike Connell, Jaime Roldos, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

Anyhow, here's the latest that surfaced the other day... Does nothing to sway the impression of a cover-up:

FBI records show investigators looked into the possibility that the death of Minnesota Sen. Paul Wellstone was no accident.

Wellstone was killed eight years ago in a plane crash. The crash killed seven others, including his wife, daughter and three staffers. The National Transportation Safety Board determined the crash was caused by pilot error, but that wasn't always the belief.

Minnesota Public Radio obtained the FBI records of Wellstone, which began in the early 1970s. The files show the organization pursued various criminal leads as part of the investigation into the crash.

Part of the FBI probe focused on problems with the plane’s de-icing equipment. According to one lead, the cause of that faulty equipment may not have been an accident: A caller from Florida, where the flight originated, said members of the American Trucking Association had planned to disconnect the plane’s de-icing equipment because they were upset with Wellstone’s efforts to expose organized crime in the trucking industry.

The report also reveals that Wellstone’s office received a threatening postcard the day before the plane crash. The handwritten postcard said in part that "the sniper should go after people like you, not real Americans."

Despite all of that, the final NTSB report said there was no evidence of criminal activity, and said it was simply pilot error.

They changed the alleged cause of the crash twice, by the way.

NIST, NTSB, SEC... they all do what they're told.

jesus Christ...and ron brown was assassinated too, grassy knoll...dude please.....

ERROR!!! The report said "probable" pilot error. Big difference. I, being a pilot am aware of most of what can go wrong in taking heavier than air machinery to altitudes that if not respected can be fatal. What the report said is that the airspeed was too low(50 knots below recommended approach speed) and de-icing was not the likely cause. If anything was fucked with it had to be the airspeed indicator. That would be a difficult instrument to sabotage as would the pitot tube which feeds it air. A simple gps check would show the planes airspeed to be erroneous. Whether intentionally "adjusted" or just a bug or part of a bird in the pitot tube caused the airspeed misinformation the pilot should have caught it. If the sysyem was plugged it would have been obvious and the pilot would have erred on a higher than normal approach speed to make sure. Pilots are trained to constantly scan the instruments in a methodical fashion. It is almost impossible that any reasonably alert pilot would miss something as critical as faulty air speed indication. It is more likely that the pilot had a medical problem such as a stroke or a heart attack and couldn't let anyone know he was under durress.

What, we're not blaming Jewish Bankers or the Mossad for this one?

You are clearly thinking of someotherbody. Find one post where I have blamed Mossad or Jewish bankers for anything.

See above...the use of "we're" v. the use of "you're". Not directed at you. Its unsusual that a conspiracy theory is put fourth where bankers not dead for 3 centuries are implicated.

Sorry. "Your" ambiguous post was easy to missinterpret.

Wellstone was always a gentleman, never really controversial. Is there some suggestion that Bush had Wellstone terminated for that or any milquetoast speach that Wellstone was cabable of?

How grasping that idea is; One has to question the judgement of anyone who could see that as a reasonable assumption for a motive to do away with a sitting US senator.

There were two pilots. Perhaps they both had simultaneous heart attacks.

Where did I once name goofy George Bush? Stick to what I say, not what you think I must mean.

To the GOP and their desperate hold of power and fraud regarding Iraq, Wellstone was Public Enemy No. 1 This is well-documented.

Paul Wellstone, Fighter | The Nation

Paul Wellstone is a hunted man. Minnesota's senior senator is not just another Democrat on White House political czar Karl Rove's target list, in an election year when the Senate balance of power could be decided by the voters of a single state. Rather, getting rid of Wellstone is a passion for Rove, Dick Cheney, George W. Bush and the special-interest lobbies that fund the most sophisticated political operation ever assembled by a presidential administration. "There are people in the White House who wake up in the morning thinking about how they will defeat Paul Wellstone," a senior Republican aide confides. "This one is political and personal for them."

Somehow they decided to go after Wellstone who would be a back-bencher for 2 terms and somehow left alone Biden and company.

Please.... Biden couldn't carry Wellstone's jock in terms of electability and the compromise of their fraudulent Iraq plan. Biden was on board for Iraq. Wellstone was not.

You're comparing apples to oranges.

Yeah..whatever happened to that Biden character....oh yeah, he became V=POTUS.

Jesus Christ you're a dumbass.

There is irony here, do you see it?

Wellstone has been dead since 2002. Your retarded claim seems to be that they would have gone after Biden too. Biden was FOR Iraq invasion, moron.

You brought up elect-ability.
Biden is now the office holder of the Constitutional 2nd most powerful office in the world.

Not that any of this is in the least bit germane to anything. You have some fixation on Bush or something (i.e. sore loser). Get over it and get a life; loser.

What I said was, Wellstone would have been the Dem frontrunner, and the Rove cabal knew this. Please try and follow along.

Run along now, cornhole.

Here is what you said:

Biden couldn't carry Wellstone's jock in terms of electability

Biden proved you wrong on that unless you think somehow we were going to elect an ultra-liberal in some mysterious election where, in fact, we hired Bush twice. Which just pizzes you off don't it. he he he

Sorry you don't seem to remember what you said. Again, it doesn't seem to matter; the OP is full of crud and you know it.

Here is what you said:

Biden couldn't carry Wellstone's jock in terms of electability

And I stand firmly by that opinion.

The point is, your babble after that statement does not follow. The man died, so we never knew if he'd have been on Kerry's OR Obama's ticket, or even beaten them for the nomination. Thus, comparing him to Biden and wondering why Biden somehow wasn't targeted is retarded. Biden voted FOR invasion. Why on Earth would they have ever targeted Biden?

You follow what you've typed, correct?

Biden proved you wrong on that unless you think somehow we were going to elect an ultra-liberal in some mysterious election where, in fact, we hired Bush twice. Which just pizzes you off don't it. he he he

Wellstone would have beaten Bush. I have little doubt. Goofy Kerry barely lost, and Wellstone would have been a far better candidate than Kerry.

Sorry you don't seem to remember what you said.

Irony. DUCY?

Again, it doesn't seem to matter; the OP is full of crud and you know it.

Nope. Repeat it to yourself 100 times if you like. But, oops. Wrong again.
